Got a B+ rating by Terry Wallace for this trade period.

Terry Wallace lol
The guy who will forever be known as the plonker who took Tambling over Buddy and too many other numerous failures at the draft to mention.
There is a reason he is on radio and hasnt got a job with a club.
Carlton has done well for the future and we wont really know for 5-6 years on how good it is. Unfortunately for their supporters there will be a heap of pain in the next 2-3 years but you should start to see a bit of light after that

It's always a bit of a safety net for the coach to go this way and buy himself a few years "rebuilding". I hope for Carlton's and the AFL sake that Carlton become a force again, they've never recovered from the John Elliott thing.

What gets me is that the drafts are meant to be what evens the competition up and clubs are meant to have their time in the sun, it always seems that the same clubs always find themselves at the arse end of the ladder, do the more successful clubs have more money to recruit better behind the scenes people to get the better players to join them?

And he gave Crows a C+
strange unit Plough

A 47% win ratio as a coach over 247 games says it all, and we can never forget the Wallacegate fiasco.
Dumbass.

I know we had to pay him some coin, but pretty glad we went with Roos and not wallace

So Richmond, after losing 3 elimination finals in a row just trade for Yarran? Got themselves a big game player right there....picks 12,52,88,106 and 120 ( traded for Jacob Townsend --- they think lots of him  )

Knee - ticking time bomb. Gimme a break. He had that reco from a collision so they took him at pick 11 knowing exactly what they were getting. If you were going to NOT pick guys like that, you wouldn't pick anyone!

What I read from that is that Bolton isn't the man to teach guys like Menzel how to work hard. What other explanation is there?

Apparantly McKay wanted Menzel gone no matter the cost. Sounded like he was a little lazy on the track and then after the last game he threw his guernsey in the rubbish bin inside the changerooms.

So you bring in a new coach and get rid of players??? That doesn't make sense to me. Surely you let the coach try and change the attitudes rather than throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Would habe thought so. Interesting there is more to this than what Jim has said.

Regardless, if he gets his head right at Adelaide he could really excell.

I'd think Bolton would know enough about players to make his decision pretty quickly and if the rumors of work ethic are true then Menzel was never going to be there long term.

1. Weitering. I feel sorry for the guy. He's going to come in and with all the expectations of the world on his shoulders and get smashed from pillar to post next season.
8. we are dying for key position players. So I'd love Francis to slip through but doubt it with Essendon at 4 and 5 and needing defenders. Weideman would be ideal as a backup if Francis slips through He's a key forward that we need desperately. However, given our recruiting of talls recently, pick 8 suggests that we might go for a mid to compliment Cripps. Having 2 gun mids in there will build for the future.
11. See above. Burton, McKay perhaps? Again, I'm targetting key forwards but Carlton seem to be happy sending them out the door!
19. Midfielder. Of if Collins is still available, grab him.

I bet we get NONE of the ones I've chosen bar Weitering.

Francis will go top 5.
He wants to get to us but im a bit worried Melbourne will grab him.
The 4 that we are keen on now are Parish, Francis, Weideman and Milera so we have some big decisions to make as atleast 3 of them should be available at 4 & 5.

I think Francis will go after the top 5 after speaking to him last week

Really, thats very intetesting as I know Essendon are very keen on him and are desperately after him. Would be surprised if we passed 2 picks up and didnt grab him

Geelong had the best week of all 18 clubs IMO, really shallow draft and if there was ever a year to trade yourself out of it and go for trade/FA it was this year. Closely followed by Collingwood.

Seemed like they and North Melbourne had no real strategy in their targets.

Have heard Lobbe was offered an amazing deal at Richmond and never even looked at taking it, nor was Port going to take the #11 pick.

How many years does Lobbe have on his contract? Just thinking if 2016 plays out like we think it will, his value will be halved by the start of next trade period.

Does Lobbe love the Maggies that much?
Maybe he thinks Ryder might cop a whack

Was never on the table. With the removal of the sub, his obvious leadership skills & with probable sanctions still hanging over the Essendon players Port weren't going to let him go & he didn't want to leave.
