Terry Wallace lol
The guy who will forever be known as the plonker who took Tambling over Buddy and too many other numerous failures at the draft to mention.
There is a reason he is on radio and hasnt got a job with a club.
Carlton has done well for the future and we wont really know for 5-6 years on how good it is. Unfortunately for their supporters there will be a heap of pain in the next 2-3 years but you should start to see a bit of light after that

Swans - Callum mills, apparently going by the experts could have played senior footy last year. Midfielder and the experts are saying he could be better than Heeney and Hopefully Josh Dunkley

Carlton have added depth to a very shallow list. The depth is still a concern though because we've brought in 5 guys who've played less than 10 games between them this year.

Kerridge - 0
Phillips - 4
Sumner - 0
Lamb - 2
Plowman - 2

And most of those came from a team that finished outside the 8.

Scarily, SOS recruited them to GWS, so I wonder if this is a "prove em wrong" type trade. Time will tell but from what I've seen these guys will be list cloggers in future. I seriously hope not....

The only upside to this is that we've got picks 1, 8, 11, 19 and so on. SURELY we can't stuff these draft picks up?

I still can't fathom why Menzel isn't at the club any more.

Gave Geelong an A+. I know I've already mentioned it but on face value it looks good but I just can't see how Geelongs trading is smart long term. They have won 1 final in the last 3 years and are declining missing the 8 this year. Their issues are deeper than recruiting 4 blokes. Rolling the dice big time over the next 2 years. Yes take Dangerfield as anyone would but it just looks like a lack of long term planning.

Very hard to grade each side on how they traded as you don't know there intentions. Purely on 2016 I believe Geelong and Collingwood had outstanding trade periods. The long term view I think Essendon have done quite well so unless we're on the inside we just don't really know.

Port got what we were after, I believe the Cows recruited very well for there needs. Yes question marks over Menzels body but gee the kid has a heap of up side, Hampton has plenty of potential and Seedsman if reaches his potential could be very handy and basically got them all for bugger all.

Richmond epic fail. Probably the same with Carlton. With out knowing there full trade list seem the Roos gave up pick 15 for Anderson I would've thought that's overs rumors they were super keen a big Bodied midfielder after they couldn't land Hartlett a month ago.

Seems Sydney achieved what they wanted in getting points to protect there academy kids.

Feels like it dragged on for ever. Should be brought back to a week.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

I agree Jim. I said the other night the blues are in uncharted waters. Never fully rebuilt from the bottom up. Hopefully we draft the right players this time and can be competitive in 5ish years. That's why I reckon we'll shop murph and Gibbs next year cos they won't be part of any future finals push

Menzel has a ticking time bomb of a knee. He could be a super star but to date hasn't worked hard enough at AFL level. He has a zero tank to run through the middle and is not a hard/tough player that Carlton needed moving forward.
To be honest Menzel reeks of the croad trade from the Hawks years ago that Hawks members were up in arms about. We all know how that ended......

That's fine in saying that Turbo, but what have we replaced him with - 5 also rans. I'd be fine if we got something meaningful for him but Kerridge and pick 28? Just strange.

Knee - ticking time bomb. Gimme a break. He had that reco from a collision so they took him at pick 11 knowing exactly what they were getting. If you were going to NOT pick guys like that, you wouldn't pick anyone!

What I read from that is that Bolton isn't the man to teach guys like Menzel how to work hard. What other explanation is there?

Apparantly McKay wanted Menzel gone no matter the cost. Sounded like he was a little lazy on the track and then after the last game he threw his guernsey in the rubbish bin inside the changerooms.

Would love to jag Daniel Rioli with pick 27 but he might bolt up the list.

So you bring in a new coach and get rid of players??? That doesn't make sense to me. Surely you let the coach try and change the attitudes rather than throwing the baby out with the bath water.

1. Weitering. I feel sorry for the guy. He's going to come in and with all the expectations of the world on his shoulders and get smashed from pillar to post next season.
8. we are dying for key position players. So I'd love Francis to slip through but doubt it with Essendon at 4 and 5 and needing defenders. Weideman would be ideal as a backup if Francis slips through He's a key forward that we need desperately. However, given our recruiting of talls recently, pick 8 suggests that we might go for a mid to compliment Cripps. Having 2 gun mids in there will build for the future.
11. See above. Burton, McKay perhaps? Again, I'm targetting key forwards but Carlton seem to be happy sending them out the door!
19. Midfielder. Of if Collins is still available, grab him.

I bet we get NONE of the ones I've chosen bar Weitering.

Hawks wont let him get past them, think he is far from the best of the indigenous lads but the pedigree is there

He wants to get to us but im a bit worried Melbourne will grab him.
The 4 that we are keen on now are Parish, Francis, Weideman and Milera so we have some big decisions to make as atleast 3 of them should be available at 4 & 5.
