EG 298 STRAUSS 96 [at last] after being 2/252 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IN 201
EG 0/8

KP DOES IT AGAIN
------------------

Master Blaster KP was in another controversy in Test Cricket which seems to follow him
On 37 he edged a catch behind lown down to the keeper of KHAN
KP walked towards the pavillion, where his team-mates yelled at him to return to the middle
The catch was referred and deemed inconclusive and KP is not out
Only KP could do it again next over C DHONI B KHAN for 37 [same dismissal]

I hope England destroys the underachieving curry munchers this series

this incident has got me confused :? :?
Since when in test cricket has the batsman had the right to after being given OUT and almost off the field to turn back and challenge the Umpire??????????
Has there been a new rule brought in like there is in Tennis at Wimbleton?????????????? where by a player can challenge an umpires decision.

Further more, How Pathetic by KP when given a 2nd chance not to use it.

JJ the crowds come to see KP thats prob why !!! :)
The replay showed he was clearly not out, it bounced short of the keeper.
That was a traversty of justice as he was not out in the last test v WI when
he swished at a ball that missed his bat by about 2 inches and was given out
caught by the keeper.

Hes due for another 100 JJ so make the most of a rare failure this test.

Yeah Yeah MAL.

Lets see His Average after he plays a Few Tests against the REAL Powerhouses of the Cricket World in
Bangladesh and Zimbabwe when they are re-admitted.

Also Probably shitting himself thinking about facing Shane Bond from NZ as he couldn't even get through an innings against MaGraths Millitary mediums without getting cracked ribs. 8) 8) 8)

I called an umpire a Moron in a game a Footy 25 years ago and got Reported for abbusive language.
I had the Last laugh though as the umpire turned up late for the tribunal hearing and the case was dismissed whilst the umpire got fined and reprimanded.
    Always have a laugh about it when i get reminded of it so thanx MDM. :D :D :D

Just watching hi-lights of this Test now and KP bringing up his hundred was very interesting to watch. On 99 and clipped the ball off his pads through midwicket. The ball just beats the diving attempt of the fieldsman. KP runs through and immediately removes the helmet and starts gesturing to the crowd to celebrate his ton. Meanwhile the ball is still tricking towards the boundary with a fielder in chase. KP is still punching the air and carrying on while the cameras show the fielder diving to try to stop the 4. Was very close to being stopped and had it been a better fieldsman would have been stopped. KP wasn't interested in coming back for the second or third run. Just getting his hundred was more important that worrying about getting the most for the team. This tells me a lot about KP.

Don't get me wrong KP is a fantastic player and one of the best in the world but it is quite obvious that he is a bit of an Andrew Jarman. More interested in his own acheivements than the teams. What Grant Thomas said earlier in the year about Matthew Pavlich was very harsh on him but had he been talking about KP he would have been right.

Yep, Good observation RR.
Batsmen certainly do carry on too much these days when getting a ton. i Don't begrudge players showing a bit of emotion if its an unreconized batsman like jason gillesspe or a player getting their 1st ton or whatever BUT for seasoned players like Pieterson, Ponting, Langer, Hayden etc etc etc that have made heaps of Tons, they certainly do go over the Top in their celebrations.
I think a Respectful raise of the Bat to Acknowledge the Crowds applause is enough and then get on with it as there is still a job to be done.
When was the last time you saw a Footballer carry on like a pork chop when they brought up their 100th goal for the season? Most would just worry about getting their next goal and winning the match.

Good observation
KP did celebrate before the ball went for 4
The carry on for his 100 was well over the top and too long.

I cannot agree with him being more interested in his own achievements
Has there EVER been a batsman who averages 50+ that throws his wicket away as much ?
Once again he was out to a cross bat swipe.
I would think batsmen who play for themselves would get out in more dignified manners

As with other extroverted sportsmen, whilst your on top its fine
When the inevitable dip comes the critics will seize on him.
But for all those who are waiting it might be after 2015 before they get thier wish

Im going to enjoy his cricket
he entertains
he is thrilling to watch
he is different[cricket needs differentials]
he is brash, overconfident, concieted, flamboyant, niggly .....
