Difficult Day coming up in Sydney - Wet Track makes it hard.
I have been keeping an eye on the forecast all week - settled on Sweynesse 1unit by 3 units.
Concede Lucia Valentina is a big chance - wetter the better for her. But you would know by now I like value runners.
Think we can get a lead from McDonald 'sticking' & the 2nd in the Randwick Guineas was a good run.
Interesting Race.

Like Joe Pride's 'Ball of Muscle' in 'The Short's' - ran OK 1st up & great 2nd up record + wet is a bonus for it too.
$8 looks good Eachway Bet IMHO - so $10 in the PowerPrices in the morning might be a good bet.

Caulfield Race 7 is very interesting Mares Race - reckon many of these are heading to the Myer Classic on Derby Day
(might want to watch for your Star Stable Team ) I concede many chances but...

Wawail's 1st up form is outstanding - beautifully bred too. The $10 & $3.30 is tempting - I'd have her a $7 or $8 chance myself. Should jump & be in the 1st half dozen I reckon. Will be in it for a long way.
That said, there's one that's come down from Brisbane (No. 11 - Lesley's Choice) - she beat a Heathcote runner (Pinch River) last start @ Doomben (I know 'cause I backed Pinch River in that race), he has subsequently won & starts Odds On tomorow @ Doomben.
I think the $11 & $3.50 is a little 'skinny' tomorrow but they wouldn't have brought her to Melbourne if they didn't think she could be competitive.
Big Watch on her. Gunna back Wawail if I can get $12 on the PowerPrice in morning.

Got a phone call from a mate living in Brissy who does the form up there extensively.
Told me to keep an eye on Doomben R6 #11.
Last few starts have been average but has won at the track & the distance twice before. He thought it would be around 20/1.
I got 80/1 fixed yesterday, it is now $51 on Sportsbet & $31 on Ubet.

Got nutted on the line after kicking a couple clear in the straight. Jumped at $11.
I also stood it one out in a trifecta with the field to run 2nd & 3rd. The winner paid $18 and the thing that ran 3rd was $40

Also be watching the #10, Magic Fish. Been close a few times over the 1300m at Rocky, fresh off a spell. Usually goes better second up. EW chance IMO

Mate informed me last night that a syndicate account we have with William Hill (Sporringbet), which only has about $3k in it offers worse Fixed Price odds than our own individual accounts (both with $0 balance) - is this common practice with the bookies?

Sorry Guys, but gotta work tonight - so I really only have focused on Melbourne.
Reckon the Rupert Clarke is a tough one to pick - Underwood, not so.
Like No. 10 Volkstok'n'barrel in that Race.
Falkner is the obvious one but - 'Volky' has good 3rd up Form (2 from 2) but why I like it is;
AJC Derby Winner - which means he's a 4yr old Stayer now - love them in Caulfield Cups, Male or Female.
He's obviously 'set' for that Race - I assume Williams is riding the Japanese Runner in the Caulfield Cup, so I'm thinking he'll be in Top 5 on this horse tomorrow. The $13 & $3.80 is healthy IMHO - I would have him around Eachway Odds @ $9 & $3.
As always, hoping to get better Saturday Morning in the 'Hour of Power'.
