good to see the flinders uni hall boys amongst it in the b-grade. could not make it todays game but most of them seem to be making a impact on the grade they are playing in.

ok from the number of games played i doubt hamp will be playing B's this year becasue he would have played too many A grade games now to qualify, plus other Hamp did play for Ironbank today in the B's at full back it looked. the players who i think may make it for the ironbank B final series maybe

Flaherty
Davey
Barton?
Ganeshwarren
Smith?
Barnard
Norris and Lacey may have already played too many A grade games. did watch the game today, full credit to onkas for running over IB, i think IB may see this one as the one that got away, IB lost it not Onkas won it from 45 points ahead. and in the reserves from what i saw which was from the 2ndish quarter onwards yes Onkas have improved, from earlier this year, however it was a very poor performance from the 2's i thought no run, help, team play at all today. From the game i saw though i feel the backline especially Chucky played very well given the amount of ball in their forard lines. seem close to the mark armytank, twe?

Not too surprised about that Tex. Think you'll find Kersbrook and Kangarilla were in similar positions against TV, but both ran over the top of them. Sounds like Meadows are the third side to do that. Any players reported Tex?

M80s, the Kavanagh Brothers are Steve and Sean. Both Gumeracha Locals, both good lads but probably handy 'A' grade footballers at best. If Gum do fold, there would be a fair chance they would travel North over Mt.Gould to don a double blue guernsey as they seem to get on well with a few of our younger blokes.

Kersbrook v Callington. We had enough time to organise a training session at Brook Park but were lucky we didn't have any shows scheduled for that night (97 reunion this week). As far as I am aware (and could well be wrong), we get a 10 goal to nothing win for the forfeit in both grades (which could be crucial missing out on vital percentage) and miss out altogether on goals (we have about 4 lads in the Top 10) and votes (which hurts Brad Pearce and possibly Paul James). So as imagined, the players/club were/are pretty pissed off.

As i said previously our B's were missing quite a few players early in the season; certainly makes a huge difference. Bottom line is that any one of the top 4 could win on a good day, lets just hope everyone fields ther best team come finals time.
BTW what a comeback in the A's on the weekend, great to be a part of; onkas have simply been 'flat' these last few weeks and that final quarter was the first time they have shown some of the football they are capable of in quite a while; just the sort of boost they will need for next weekend against uri's (who's large win over the roos this weekend surprised me - they must be playing some very solid football - but i suppose thats stating the obvious). Anyway looking forward to it! Teams going up aginst uri's have nothing to loose and thats always going to be something working aginst any undefeated side....

Cally forfeits..HFL fines then $300 and they save $3000 in player payments for the week!!! How come all their players fronted up last wk when they thought they had chance to win???

HFL should refuse their affliation next yr and get rid of them forever...

Absolutely shattering to play in a 1 point loss of that nature. It was a case of both Onkas playing well and IB playing poorly. Kicking 4 points and no goals hurt in the last qtr but coming out of halfback just had nothing to kick to an the ball would come back just as fast. And I think IB players were trying hard but jst overcommited to the tackle as in 3 guys going into tackle one Onkas player leaving 2 others open. Couple handballs out to those players and they'd be away. Guess you just got to take positives from first 3 qtrs.

Wendelborn went down just before half time which hurt masively. Had taken some big grabs. Good news to report that xray showed no break or crack in his ankle. Hopefully only out for a couple

Couple interesting umpiring decisions. Hamp gained free kick 40m out. Smart picked up ball. Umpire blew whistle 3 times then Smart kicks ball 50m away and yet no 50m penalty is given. Hamp fails to score where wouldve been certain goal. Most obvious penalty to give!! And 5 set shots (4 goals) on goal from dubious free kicks for Onkas in first qtr.

But still no excuses should never let a game like that slip. Full credit to Onkas! IB youngsters will learn valuable lesson from that for years to come

I keep a bit of an eye on Hills footy and can't recall the last time a Hills A-Grade forfeited - that is astonishing they can't field ONE team from what is normally TWO teams. Did 21 players have the flu?? Unlikely. Having seen the Eagles here and there over the year, looks like things have changed a lot from the original days. Will it be the beginning of the end? Can they find the passion again to go on with it? Interesting to see what happens.

Cougar & Crumber, probably needed to reword what I wrote about your respective clubs to the degree that I hate seeing clubs work so hard for what they have got and try to improve the situation but sometimes it doesn't succeed whatever the reason. I feel for Milang, after playing colts for the roos before their senior sides back in the late 90's it was disappointing to see their demise. Will be good to see all the young primary teams come through for KFC in the next few years, just hope all teams will be able to do the same.

Need to keep the kids involved at every chance!
