So Moonta evaluated their squad and decided a gun like Fred would add to their team over playing a local kid instead? The decisions sides make to be successful...

A decision that can also be very divisive to a club. If Moonta win a flag it will be a master stroke! If they choke again with the money they are spending and go out in straight sets like they did last season it will be atotal waste. Time will tell !

Clubs dont have the benefit of hindsight so you take this gamble every single time. Freddy adds to the team and improves them. Nothing worse then people around the club celebrating the good times after these decisions but sinking the boot in when they dont work out..

Why is it always a bloke who has trained and played all year that is assumed will be missing? What if he is injury cover? What if the bloke he is replacing hardly trains and doesn't deserve his spot in the ones?

Pretty lame argument. Surely there are some players in the B grade that have trained their ringers off this season.

Long time reader, first time poster…looking forward to the finals, seems like the top three seem to be traveling a little better than the Roos and Dogs, tipping a Kadina v Moonta GF. Moonta would be fav. If they can get Hugo and Andrews right.

Apparantly if he does go its because he hasnt cemented his spot by now! [-X [-X. Its just the way they roll....pay for success rather than build a good club culture.

I don’t know the guy, but sportingpulse tells me 14 games for twice in the best with two goals and he takes 2 points…swapping him with Freddie might just mean the rest get a medal.

Few rumours/facts around,

1) Matt Oliver took some convincing the lower himself to play two’s on the weekend.
2) Joho Lee at Kadina told the club last Thursday night he’s moving on next year. Been a great servant of the club
3) The Wallaroo Coach has been approached by a SANFL Club to coach their ressies
4) Clubs are meeting tonight night to chat about the salary cap, all looks like it’s in, some other comp’s aren’t keen
5) Jamie Williams from Bute, back to Barossa league next year.
6) Cougars re appointed Dom, some happy, some not. Scott Dutchke leaving

5 majors for a full forward against the might of the Bute magoos....... surely someone that old making a comeback at this stage of the season with a history of hamstring injuries would be a liability for any team in a finals match. I'm not across the circumstances, but it seems rediculous thatPasky are even considering it.

Seems like a desperate move from Paskeville who are wanting to win a flag before they have an exodus of outside players next season. Young lads missing out for him to play B grade is wrong let along A grade. No different to what Moonta are doing with Agius though! People at both clubs will try and justify what they are doing but the rumblings of Supporters and some players at both clubs can be very Cancerous!.....and dont worry it is happening!
Kadina are going along quietly and are a real chance from what i saw of them!

Thought the umpiring was pretty good at the against the Dogs on the weekend, despite the Facebook rant about Willy I saw from some Silly Old Lady, think she’s a players parent, reckon you should be spending your time on getting some players for next year, the word on the street is that your club’s going to need them.
