Will set records that will be hard to break unless injury cuts her down. Looking good for the MVP if the pro american bias doesn't steal it from her like 2 seasons ago. Plus she's stunning and did a nude photo shoot a few years back! What more could you want?

LAUREN Jackson overnight reinforced her place as the top female basketballer in the world by claiming her second WNBA Most Valuable Player trophy.

It is the second time Seattle Storm-based Jackson, 26, has won the top individual honour, previously claiming it in 2003.

"I'm honoured and flattered and it has been an unbelievable year for me personally," the 195cm superstar said. "I'm very excited."

Jackson, who led the WNBA in scoring and rebounding with 23.8 points and 9.7 boards per game, received 473 points, including 42 first-place votes, to be a runaway winner from San Antonio Silver Stars guard Becky Hammon on 254 points.

Opals star Penny Taylor (Phoenix Mercury), MVP of the women's world championship last year alongside Jackson as Australia claimed the gold, finished sixth.
