yeah, playing melbourne a few weeks ago at home was so tough...
Geelong only play Melbourne once.
Didn't think my point was too hard to work out but I'll explain it.
Geelong play the 2 grand finalists from last year twice and the 6th side twice. ( 1 non finalist twice)
GWS play 1 grand finalist twice and the other sides were out of the 8. (4 non finalist twice)
Western Bulldogs play 1 finalist from last year twice. (4 non finalists twice)
Crows play 1 finalist from last year twice. (3 non finalists twice) (and Port have dropped in standard and only through the Cats feeling sorry for the Crows does it mean they'll not play the Cats twice)
Collingwood play 2 finalists from last year twice (Richmond and Geelong) 3 non finalists twice
At the end of the day none of those sides have a chance of the premiership but my point is its sad the Finals will be artificially be made up due to a skewed draw.
Its frustrating that several teams Geelong are comfortably better than over the season will finish in front of them. That's also been impacted upon by Geelong's mercy to the Crows as mentioned before. It frustrates me much more as a logical thinker and footy lover than Geelong supporter.
My point is, it'd be nice to have a draw similar to the EPL so we could have a fairer representation of where sides were at for the year with the end of year ladder.
Common sense I would have thought?
Cry me a f*cking river. You are'nt as good as you think
