IF v Fitzroy will go a long way to deciding 5th.. TOS need to win to maintain 3rd and ML need to get out of 9th.. CU win could give them breathing space from 9th and BL could be thrown right into the battle for 9th with a loss..
Absolutely!
Lockleys v Smithfield - Many would anticipate this could be the GF preview, Lockleys are really beginning to fire of late while no one seems even in the same league as Smithfield - smaller ground at Lockleys this will be an absolute belter of a contest! A Lockleys win would go a long way to securing a top 2 finish, where as a Smithfield win will all but lock away top spot - 2x games clear with 5x to play. In the magoos, there will be plenty of clubs hoping Smithfield can continue on their merry way to keep Lockleys on 5x wins but equally TOS and Brahma will be eager for a Demons upset so they can potentially jump Smiffies.
Fitzroy v Ingle Farm - Welcome to Grand Final in Rd 13. Ingle Farm must win this game or their chances for a finals spot take a serious hit. The Farmers finish the season with arguably 3x of the toughest tests - TOS, West Croydon (Away), Smithfield. With Fitzroy having Lockleys, Smithfield and the bye in the coming weeks to close out the season, a win here would edge them into the 5 on % and would be tough to peg back from there. Equation is simple - winner here plays finals, loser preps for cricket. In the B grade Fitzroy have shown to be quite competitive and wouldn't be without hope heading into this clash. For Ingle Farm, as was pointed out earlier, it's tight in the middle of the ladder and sides just cant afford to drop any games - especially when you have a poor percentage like the Farmers.
Central United v Brahma Lodge - Another contest within a contest - Units desperate to get out of the bottom 2, playing good footy with a never say die attitude - showed again on Saturday vs Ingle Farm they're capable but gave the 'Dogs too much of a lead early. Brahma have struggled but are a proud club, would still want to have an impact on this competition this season. In the B grade it'll be Brahma by how much, and Lehman how many - from what I saw Saturday I don't think Units have a player capable of stopping him, I'm backing a dozen from the big fella.
Mawson Lakes v Trinity OS - A game where so many sides would be hoping the Lakes can pull off a famous upset. If they can beat Trinity it really closes up the game between 3rd and 5th, and adds some pressure to the Tossers, would also be reward for effort for Mawson Lakes who like Central United have battled gallantly all season without much luck. In the B grade TOS will hold onto top spot for another week, and will effectively book their spot in finals - going 5x wins clear of 6th place.
West Croydon - Will be hoping for upsets and injuries everywhere
