Should we be going after him?

Don't reckon there would be a club in the league that wouldn't want him.

Question is - would he command as much as say Tippett on the market? I reckon I would rate him higher especially on potential.

Think there would be a lot of clubs going after him, he's a serious talent.

Was thinking about Jesse White yesterday, and his rating would have to be, at best, a good ordinary player. However he's probably served a purpose at Collingwood, taking another good/key defender and allowing a bloke like Elliott to develop. Elliott is fast approaching the star category imho.

Strong rumour we are set to have a massive dip at Treloar or Dangerfield.

Not sure we'll need another big guy once Jesse White comes good and the resilient Ben Reid returns.

There's a big 'if' on both of those.

If Dixon is tradeable then you guys should definitely go for him, although I thought you guys were more interested in getting Cameron from GWS to come over.

Yeah, I was taking the piss. White is an okay foil to Cloke and is a handy chop out for Grundy, but he'll never be dangerous or imposing.

On that, thought, when Cloke is on song, I'm happy for White to be playing as that foil. But, when Cloke's having an off day, or month, we need White to be doing more.

Cameron re signed at the end of last year. Turned down 800k a year from the crows and a similar amount from Collingwood reportedly

I seriously think the club is banking on Moore developing quickly and Reid returning to AA form and will look to land a premium midfielder to replace Swan when he retires.

And I hope we go down this path, Tippetts not worth his money at Sydney, wether Clokes been worth what his on or not is debatable but at least we knew what we were getting, I wouldn't be throwing massive money at Dixon.

I reckon he's been a good pickup. Positions himself well and makes good decisions. Doesn't rack up the touches, but in a very young side, he provides a level head.

I've also been impressed with his pressure efforts and tackling, surprisingly.

seems to be playing much better footy at the Pies than he did at Geelong. Maybe getting a bit more midfield/wing time?

Without a doubt, I think he got a bit stale at the cattery, in his formative years his forward pressure acts were exceptional, I guess the shoulder problems hinder tackling. He does appear to have a spring in his step this season though.

Pretty much my thoughts on where things are at.
I mentioned Dixon, as his $$$ value may have dropped given the situation he's found himself in of late.

Very true. He's actually winning me over a bit. Providing some run and breaking lines.
The test, for me, is coming - when we play some of the big premiership threats - but it's a test for the whole side, really.
Front runners? Or have we truly developed as well as our position suggests?

Dont think recent events would have affected his stock at all mate. Will take a decent-big investment to land him, but I think it's justified.

There is also a forgotten man here in Matty Scharenberg.

If he can overcome his injury concerns and find a spot in the 22 along with Reid, and Collingwood can develop Moore- there is some serious KP versatility in the Pies squad.

Jordan De Goey would be the player the Pies are looking to groom to replace Swan I would think.
