That whole scene was perfectly choreographed with Jon Snuh cutting a swathe through the packs as he went for the dragon glass.

At the end, with all the undead on the shore, my missus says "why aren't they swimming?", but then it cuts to Jon Snuh's boat and I yell "why aren't they ******* rowing!" :D

Yeah, it's brilliant how they half keep in character & half as themselves. Especially Kit Harrington singing Wildling to Rose Leslie & Nikolai (whatever his last name is) singing about Joffrey.

I thought the white walker was going to freeze the water when he was raising his hands.

Absolute pearler of an episode. I can't wait to see what the next 2 have in store for us.

I thought he was going to bring the bodies back to life and send them plunging into the water, the mass of bodies forming a bridge.
I also thought the giant was going to drag the rowboat away, as well. Wrong on both counts.

John Snow won't be bringing back as many wildlings back to the Wall as he would have hoped, but he has still got some useful allies. And now they are allies forged in battle. He's proved himself to them - they'll follow him anywhere.

from twitter

My conclusion from tonight's Game of Thrones: Whoever was rowing was not nearly rowing fast enough for the severity of that situation.

As soon as she said "I'll be right behind you" I knew she was gone. To answer your question, Yes, I thought her and Jon Snow might have got it on. They seemed to have a moment
