Only 17 points in the end but for the 3rd week in a row would have to say Norwood never looked like losing the game and were always pretty much in control.

Crowd?

Apart from a opening 5-10 minutes of both the second and third quarter Norwood dominated. Disappointing to give up 2 goals in junk time at the end.
6-1 heading into the bye week and have a little bit of breathing space on South now.
Crowd wasnt great

We were average last night had Norwood kicked straight would have absolutely flogged us.

Keep playing like we are at the moment we won't be playing finals.

Irra simple not league standard. Looks unfit

Liddle injured at some point during the game dont recall seeing him at all in the 2nd half.

Not sure playing Eddy Haren and Overall all in forward 50 is working they seem to get in each other way a lot.

I thought a feature of South's game was their tackling.
Far superior to ours and something we need to improve on.

Gotta admit, we did get a few from ducked heads. I hate it in football, even when my own lads do it.

I absolutely despise it

To me it's similar to soccer players diving when it comes to frustration

Yep, used to feel the same way about players immediately falling forward once tackled, but it's so commonplace now it's become a regular part of the game.

I know we have to protect the head in footy, but I still prefer the older days when a player lead with his head got no sympathy from the umps.

I wonder if you call players for holding the ball when they duck then it will protect the heads as it will stop them from doing it.

Of course, Joel Selwood will have to retire as he will only get half the number of kicks he getting now :D

Thats how it used to be - lead with the head, get held in the tackle, HTB. Wish it still was that way.

Sellwood's is different, reckon he's more inclined to twist and/or drop in a tackle so the tackler's arm slips up over his shoulder.

Agreed PP. Keep playing like this - NO FINALS.

No panic buttons yet but after watching it last night, some cracks are starting to appear that concern me.
We have gone back to be too "handball happy"in defense causing us to turn over the footy. Some of our decision making last night was quite mind boggling !

Thought Matty Rankine took the game on and did a great job. Played his best game for us. Cross battled hard and seemed very frustrated out there last night with a few team mates. McLeod played well and kept trying..
Few players missing in action last night and really need a bit of a kick up the backside. Bit of laziness creeping in and thinking others will do the job for them.
Some players in the league team simply not up to it at present.

Norwood, possession defensive football all night. Pressured our guys till we turned over the ball.

Score did flatter us at the end and I am sure after the games results over the weekend, we will come back down to reality !

Next few weeks critical to show where we are in the competition. :?
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Weird that it's different figures 3,017 in the paper today.
