Omg this takes me back

1988-1992 - the settlers went off with the disco every Thursday Friday and Saturday night (pre pokies of course)

1992-1999 - we would do "the crawl" start at the Sailmaster at Northhaven, then at close to the Pier Hotel at Largs Bay till close (about 2) then off to the Nighttrain in the Port (till 6am) then home for an hour or so to get ready for work each Friday - geez them were the days... must say am not so hung over these days on a Friday.

oh yea also spent many a friday night upstairs at the Griffin Head Tavern (dont think it was called that then).. and those stairs were a real bitch comning down too (specially when one of your legs is in plaster from the knee down and your piddled hehehehehehe

Mal mentioned Princetons, which was a popular under age disco with the college kids in the late 80's before they shut them down. Then SENIORS at Burnside Town Hall was the place to be!

Ahhh the place the Club Express started from. Went on 4 bustours every saturnite straight once, always a great night. Do they still do bustours?
The other place tours started from The Directors.

Went too Waves a few times as well (now Rosemount), that used to be a great place to watch the midmorning punch ups. Actually thinking of punch ups so was Lennies carpark 3am with fights spreading out to Wiggleys Reserve between to newly made couples.

I have absolutely no recollection of either of those two joints!

Fascinating, I've had a meal at the Lakes inthe main dining area - and yes I probably had some Chardonnay with the entree - but I have otherwise never been to any of the places listed.

A friend took me to some place a mate of his ran a some years ago in Adelaide, the gate people knew him and showed us straight through to his mate's office, then found us a table, but the noise level was a bit much for me, and I made an excuse to leave after 1/2 an hour. It may have been in the southern side of the city or perhaps near Unley - I can't remember its name.

Serious question to the young ones, Does the Vic still have a crowd on Friday/Sat nights?...Im goning to be less than a 1km from the Vic by the end of the year
