I saw that Grosser played against Onkas. Where's Temme for Devs? Grosser may get found out (for pace) versus the Demons.

Grosser has been playing well in Magoos so earned his spot. Both Temmes out last week, one getting an arse transplant, the other at the hairdressers.(really work and injury, not in that order).
We want Vaughn.

As I promised, the game will be played at home with no chance of moving. This was not the direction of the club but the ruling from the HFL Board Meeting that was held last night (Tues) Both the HFL and MtBFC meetings were their monthly meetings and were not because of the oval saga. From this though, there are no more junior primary games to be played at all on the oval and training nights have been limited until further notice. May not be the answer that everyone was looking for but that is what is going on.

Not having a go at you JB, but too little too late re: junior primary?

Another step Mt Barker could take is training at another ground. I swear another club has used Heathfield for training in the past (although that was for familiarisation for a final).

I understand were you are coming from DA but we have at least 12 teams train on the oval at least once a week, as the schools aren't allowed to have the kids train on their ovals due to public liability. (Pretty good political bullshite if you ask me). They play most of their games on a friday night at home or away the next on a saturday. These kids are forced to train on the flats down the back of the oval where the tennis courts used to be, near the cage. (I don't have a problem while the oval is GUR). As for trainging at another venue, I dont think lofty would like the idea of the roos sending the majority of Saturday's teams down to train on their oval, leaves you guys with a torn up oval?
The council still have some staff that want tickets to be re-elected and they are helping us to set up new facilities but the other half couldn't care less. I for 1 know where my council election vote is going when they come up again. Pity the new facilities could not have been in the council planning act 20 years ago! Memo to all, vote in council elections, may seem a waste of time but MtBFC is pushing really hard to get the council to act on new facilities! Will find out more over the coming weeks!

Maybe Barker could train at Lobey or Hahndorf......Cause it sure seems like those two teams aren't doing anything at those grounds on Tuesdays and Thursdays!!!!

For me...
Bridgey (I've picked em twice in a row, I feel so dirty), Hahndorf by 6 goals, Onkas, Mt Lofty (only with an even start, they won't peg back Uris), Ironbank

That's the thing - it really is a "seeing is believing" sort of thing. The pictures in the courier make it look better than it is. I look forward to hearing from anyone from Onkas on Monday!

Just for interest - Mt Barker have Onkas, Hahndorf, Lobethal and Birdwood all at home before the year is out............

Good to see the HFL stand up and take action!

Haha bit of a waste of time really, surely shifting the U/12's with an average weight of 50kg can't be the answer to fixing Mt Barker's oval! Too little too late. No games should be played there, maybe an infection to Nunan might wake you blokes up! Not worth the risk. But i for one do sincerely hope Onkas enjoy playing there    I would have to pick the roos for this week, their bigger and slower blokes are heavily favoured by the mud pit, not sure the Onkas running game, very similar to that of Ironbanks is the game required!

Jail Bird is your club going to fix the drainage problems in the showers for the Onkas lads?

3 percentage games that may not be high scoring cos of the mud. That's more to Mt Barker's detriment.

Before the start of each Saturday's program, a ground report must be compulsory (fine if not in yellow envelope!!!) completed by both reps of both clubs. Wot if the Onkas rep blatently refuses to agree that the ground is safe to play on for health and other reasons? Wot becomes the situation ... you can't call it a forfeit, if in his honest opinion, the ground is unsafe and a danger for his club to play on ... there are duty of care legal standards involved, that why the forms have been introduced. Same deal as if any sprinklers protruding, big holes, etc.... It may well bring things to a head, that the ground is definitely not fit to be used. There was some idea that the weather later this week may clear up to dry the septic surface, so no change of venue. Sure, pigs mite fly too ... fly to enjoy a frolick in the bog at Howard 'Poo Poo' Lane!

There has been talk of this throughout the thread earlier but now we have seen a full rotation of matches does anyone think Birdwood will be able to claim a few wins before seasons end. Its always fun to have a crack at the bottom dwellers but coming from a supporter who cant get to the hills on a Saturdays are they looking ok? Will they be competitive in the coming seasons?

only bad thing for the day was some off the remarks coming from some of the onkas supporters towards a lofty player.

What sort of comments and at who, Schimma?
They were probably p#ssed off at seeing how far off the pace they are./quote.

in regards to the comments racial slurs toward a lofty forward, calling him a terrorist a wog and any other thing they could say,, really shit by onkas.. dont know is owen was amongst or near (as his was floating around all day) these idoits but this should have been dealt with by either ejection or a fine towards onkas. really something should have been done... bantar is a good thing but racial slurs to a player when your team is getting beltted is not on [-X
At all games we always get the abuse from spetators to the players but onkas are the only club ive seen who have the abuse flowing all day towards opposition players from their ivory tower coaches box. all this in a game they won by 25 goals, sets a great example, no wonder the supporters go feral

G'day fellas, ive been reading the forums for a few months and finally decided to register cause a few ppl were saying they wanted representatives from every club. My club is onka's so hopefully i can give some input for our fine club. Firstly just want to clear something up about the incident on the weekend reagrding negative comments from onka's supporters to a Lofty player. As i understand it the group of indivuduals making the racial comments have been spoken to sternly by the club officials and immediately after the incident ocured our senior players made sure to appologise to the Lofty player on behalf of everyone at onka's - props to him for not taking further action. Collo also spoke to the players about the incident at training and we were all pretty embarassed and dissapointed about the behaviour of the supporters in question; please dont judge the club as a whole for the actions of these individuals as they certainly dont represent them.

BTW my tips are - Blackwood, Hahndorf, Lofty (if they start well), Onkas, Ironbank.

Will let you know how the surface at Mt barker goes this weekend
