I think Smith will play up the ground with Henderson back. not sure if he will go through the midfield of via a wing
Thompson will spend some more time in the FWD line, as pointed out he gets hurt on the defensive running but is a capable goal kicker and still wins plenty of clearances.
Brown, Hartigan and Cheney as the backline?
You would want to kick some decent scores because with those three you will give up 100+ points every week.
Midfield and forwards good on paper and can match it with most teams
With Talia getting the best defender I think a combination of those guys can work or at least do the job to a degree. I think when you come up against teams with 2 big forwards then it will be tough. Especially if one gets away. Not many options.
On last years form, Brown certainly needs to improve. He has the talent, but was extremely poor last year. Mind you, we as a side turned the ball over so much i wouldnt have wanted to be a defender in that side for quids.
From what we saw of Hartigan, I think he can match it one on one with the big fellas , its more his decison making and disposal which he struggled with. Mind you he is only half a dozen games into his AFL career.
Jeansch for me (while he has a face everyone wants to punch, crows supporters included) had a break out year and can play at this level. He was one of the few positives last year IMO
