I'm not, I'm taking the piss. Shame you cand read between the lines.

Now we are at the half way mark it would be interesting to see who everyone thinks will make it. I'd be suspired if any of the top 3 are dislodged given a 2 game gap inside the 4. That leaves everyone else looking at 4th. Sheidow are still my tip but Morphys may hold on or another club may grab it. Who knows.

Only speaking from a distance ( as I no longer play ) but I think the club has suffered from lack of numbers > lack of depth this year.

I'll be at a show this Saturday night with a few of the boys, I'll get an update back on Monday. ( If I remember the info.... ;) )

Sad to see considering the effort put into the Juniors over the years.

Unfortunately nowadays when juniors hit 15-16, most seem to turn their back on our great game.

Absolutely. Hoss, Nev, Callum, Fiebs, Whenan ( *5 ), yours truly etc etc invested loads of time in the very successful junior program at the Youth Centre. It was a real strength of the club for many years, knowing the talent was coming through.

Unfortunately, this seems to be common theme for a lot of clubs. Cove are similar, our juniors are pretty strong and well coached but still seems like a big gap between our current section 1 side compared to the next wave of juniors coming thru, bar a couple who are already playing sect 1 a lot of these boys may be lost to footy, district cricket or just lose interest by the time they are 16 / 17 . I'm not sure wat the answer is, it's easy to say bring in U/17 comp to fill the gap but I'm not sure it'll solve the problem. Not even sure all 1 dayers will increase senior participation of upcoming juniors at local level.

I'm a negative nellie when it comes to the T20 form of the game and while youth's in the 15-17 year old age bracket have notoriously been the most difficult to hold onto, I think the first sign on 75 overs in a day seems far too difficult for them when they see 20 overs as a valid "match".

PDCA had a fair bowling line up, I had to laugh when the umpire called back the 2nd wicket claiming it came off his shoulder, the fella walked.

Back half of the year now. All games having an impact on the finals shape up. Top of the table clash this week between Cove & Keswick to leave only one side undefeated so far (unless there is a tie). Ramblers in 3rd spot on the ladder 2 games clear of South Road & MVP and the rest. That 4th spot is really wide open for any team that has a good run home or an outright or 2. Going to be a very interesting final 4 rounds.

I see Burgess in Section 2 for Port Noarlunga has hit 4 tons on the bounce including 2 of them over 150 could be on track for a 100 run season if he keeps it up

Not that I'm aware of. I could be wrong tho. There were a couple of dummy spits over some decisions but not sure anyone was made aware of a report against them.
