Great cricket. Well done to Nathan Lyon, thoroughly deserved. Also well done to kohli and the Indians. Awesome test.

I missed the whole thing, I turned the TV off about 3pm and India were cruising at 2/170 odd or something and we had just brought Steve Smith on so pulled the pin.

Then I found out we ended up bowling them out for 315 and win by 48 runs

Unbelievable win really. Was it more a massive choke job by the Indians or did we just turn it on bowling wise?

Bit of both, Lyon bowled fantastic and to India's credit they kept attacking and didnt shut shop. Their tail is woeful though, will see a lot of collapses by them during the series

The body's had enough. Rule him out of all cricket until the start of the World Cup reassess him then if not 100% put a line through him and then decide whether to try for the Ashes or just retire.

I think it's safe to say this is his last summer of cricket at home.

Cheers, when I gave up I thought Lyon was bowling fantastically at the time miss hits and little half chances he was turning the ball a mile and I was thinking how the hell could anyone question this guy's spot in the side but he wasn't getting any wickets and nothing was happening at the other end so I thought well we're not going to take 8 wickets in the last 2.5/3 hours so turned it off :(

Just reported on channel 9 that this was the biggest ever day 5 crowd and the biggest total crowd for a non ashes test.

Pretty good but probably would have been much bigger had it not been rescheduled.

Agree,
Selectors need to tell him to stick to tests only from now on

I know the WC doesn't have the prestige it once did but I still consider it the most important cricket a player can play in second only to an Ashes series. I think he should do everything he can to try and get back for the WC especially with the responsibility of being the captain but if he can't make it back for that I don't think we could afford to try it all again come the Ashes, I would hope if unable to make the WC he would retire but they might be alright with him not playing for 6+ months and hanging around until the Ashes.

Last thing we would need though is all this will he or won't he or can he run/field in the slips etc stuff come the start of an Ashes series over there.
