An the Watchin the rooster had been!!

No, i have had a little time off and retreated to warmer climates briefly, but now i'm back full of enthusiasm and excitement for the second half of the season.

Firstly on behalf of Two Wells Football Club our thoughts, prayers and wishes are with the Konzag family and the Mallala Football club after the passing of young Matthew on Sunday in tragic circumstances, he was one of our own fraternity and will be missed.

Secondly on a personal note, i was saddened by the news that Former WWT Eagles and Gepps Cross player Luke Spehr passed away, Luke Was a special player and all who played footy with him and against him would remember him either sitting on their shoulders taking a screamer or selling them some candy before dobbing it from 50 mtrs. I was fortunate enough to play footy with Luke in 2000 at Gepps Cross and found him to be a gifted player who loved footy and having the pill in his dukes as much as he could, he was however and i will go on record for saying this, a Terrible dancer and memories of his" lawnmower" dance still stick with me today. Again My thoughts and wishes with the Spehr family and to all his mates.

Now the Roosters Two cents on the Import rule, i think the Rule works reasonably well, but like most import rules from most leagues it is not airtight, but it's only fair to say that you can appeal to the league if you want more Imports or think someone else has too many. but most of the Clubs will do their research and if a decent players appears out of nowhere and burns, rest assured someone (probably from the team he plays against) will look into where he came from.
the league is not that deep an ocean, most secrets and stories and found out shortly.

The other bloke who is a Zone Selector, i've no idea, but i think what happens on the field should stay on the field and how the player plays may not necessarily be who the man is (Deep :-k )

And the other issue that has flared up in the APFL world is the termination of former Virginia FC coach Shane Stokes. Good Luck to Chris the incoming coach, i'm afraid i'm going to have to go by what Faxu said previously about him , but it certainly sounds like he has a lot of respect out there and he should be excited by taking the reigns. And Good luck also to Stokesy, i believe there is a role out there for him, he is a good coach with lot of fresh idea's and he will go well wherever he goes.

Rooster - could the 'lawnmower' be any worse than Fabio's 'big fish, little fish' dance, or Halliday's 'sprinkler'?

And of course, I shouldn't be pointing any fingers about dancing styles....

HWE vs Two wells: HWE 39 points ( Two wells have to pinch the odd upset from here on in to play finals, but not this week)
Balaklava vs United: United 9 points (could go either way)
Hamley vs Virginia: Virginia 27 points (first win of the year)

Put your house on em boys, in fine form of late on the tipping front!!!!!!!!!

Two Wells Vs HWE: HWE by a single point ooh this is gonna be a good one.
Balaklava vs United: Make no mistake swampy, the Balak boys will get belted this weekend.
Hamley vs Virginia: And the Bombers to get some reward for a hard working season.

Craig Harvey would have to be in the Mail medal hunt, if only they won more games, we'll see, may put a lazy couple of $$$'s on him at the Auction on medal night.

Its a shame they havent won more game for his sake, but according to their best players each week, he's been 1st best 6-7 times of a possible 9 games, fair effort.
i think hayden walker will be up there again, however Joel Montgomerie would have to be favourite at present. Be interesting to see how the other quality midfielders like hollitt, whitwell and ryan montgomerie poll, fair chance they may pull a few votes off him.
I reckon muckhole will poll well in the second half of the year. He was good vs Mallala last week and he ll keep getting better as his fitness improves and his hair will get longer. History has shown 5 - 6 bogs will win it, and he would have one already. (Yeah im drawing a huge bow with that i know, but geez he'd be paying 25/1, so it ll be worth a couple on the nose)

good to see the boys hopefully moving foward, Micky H should be an association player (GREAT PLAYER) anyway if the assoc team was structured properly. lets the the boys build on this win with confidence and really stir things up. C'MON RAMS

100 % effort of not. Haven boys won't be at the Rams in 08. wont be with stokes either. back in the black and white./quote]

You must be like the Haven president living in your dream world, all the recent phone calls and talk havnt lured them back yet so why would next year be any different.
Phone calls and talk??? Don't think so! Have you seen the haven side lately. Don't necessarily need them. They're just top blokes whose black and white blood will lead em home. Can't imagine they're enjoying getting flogged every week
This quote was a month or so ago and have just heard

Dida & Knapman to SMOSH in 08
Bruce to Portland
Jimmy Hurley to Pooraka

Any truth to this??????
