Why? At the time Boak was right, the Tigers were 5-12 and he hoped Chaplin was enjoying his year.

It has nothing to do with the context of this game as it was accurate at the time.

Boak shouldn't have said shit and if the Tiges get up I'm sure he'll be enjoying his year.

I have no doubt out of the eight teams playing finals, the most pressure is on Port.

Why?

Didn't North lose their only final in recent memory by 16 goals.

If anyone I would have said Sydney having finished top but it is finals and I know you Norf folk aren't familiar with them but every team is under immense scrutiny as its make or break. The Port boys sure as shit wont be sitting there going "we are under the most pressure".

Can't agree spargo. Obviously swans will cop it the most if we don't make the gf! But North and bombers are under the most pressure I reckon.... Port won't lose.

No way.

$ydney - The most pressure on them, they've already paid for this flag, they better get it.

Dunno how you arrive at that conclusion?

We finished 5th, were not predicted by anybody to make finals, let alone make an impact in them. Exceeded expectation early in the season but have well and truly finished where we deserve, as Hawthorn, Sydney, Fremantle and Geelong imo are rightful finishers in the 4.

Richmond knocked us off 6 weeks back and have won at AO this season. Hardly surprising if we lose.

Tell me how the pressure is on us?

Did you and every other fan pick us to win the flag- and ive been under a rock?

Rubbish. Port were always in the mix to make finals - they won a final last year remember? Richmond beat the crows, not port, at AO this season - hardly a mean feat. Even the Demons won here. It would undoubtedly be the upset of the first round of finals if the Tigers get up.

Once again- research. Of the so-called experts at the start of the season. 2 predicted us to make finals. 2. Hardly world-beaters. Not saying that we werent in the mix, but the pressure is on port this finals series? Give me a break.

Read my post. I said Richmond knocked us of 6 weeks back AND have won at AO this season, not to mention we haven't beaten them since 2009. I'd be throwing my money on the tigers on sunday. If you ask me, the very fact we havent beaten them in 5 years makes it more 50/50 than anything.

The original post was concerning who has the most pressure on them come finals. If the Bondi billionares fail to make the GF this season, it will be a massive underachievement.

Who would be most disappointed if they lose this week? Probably port.

Of course I would be disappointed to see us lose, and the players and club would feel the same.

This is what we are disputing. Its a troll anyway so who cares, but the pressure is on the top 2 sides to at least make the GF.

I'm not sure he chose the best words, but I can see where spargo is coming from. Given they played off for fourth spot last week, if they lose to Richmond this week it will be seen as a failed season for port. A finals win would be a pass mark for sure. Richmond have already "succeeded" in their season to a certain extent.

Come on now, I reckon you beat them up in Darwin in 2011. Richmond have won the past 2 with a draw before that. I agree that Sydney would view the year as a failure if they don't make the gf, any minor premier would. I also think port would view their year as a failure if they don't get through to next week.

Apologies PP- that was a rushed post. Was supposed to have read "havent beaten them in Adelaide since 2009".

Absolutely agree PP/Benny- that if we lose this week, this season will be considered disapoointing, given where we finished in 2013, as well as where we were at the half way mark. What i was responding to, was the notion we are carrying the most pressure out of the 8 finalists. Absolutely ridiculous comment, in the end aimed at baiting.

Play on.

Disagree. Richmond haven't succeeded in anything yet except scraping in, we finished 5th after the minor round last year with with a 15-7 record! We need to a win a final to consider this year any type of improvement/success IMO.
