Can anyone confirm Pollard and Pitmann out for season or is it just a rumour ...... imagine what they could do with these 2 powerhouses back ??

I think that Pollard will play again this season, was cleared of any major damage not sure how his rehab is going, I believe they feared the worst for Pitman but my sources say he may be an outside chance to play in 6-7 weeks. If both do come back then things could get a little tougher for the defences in the league. Heard a wisper that one of their 3 time premiership playing overseas travellers is coming back soon also, should be back playing in the next couple weeks...

Apparently that young guy was 17 and plays at South U\19's they wont see him for the rest of the year he ended up being the difference in the game took it away from us in the third quarter when he kicked 5 in as many minutes. Great hands and i dont think he missed a goal he was good in the second half

So your saying a young kid coming in to his first A-Grade game would have made more of a difference than a Pollard or Pitman? Get off the grass mate looking at the Emus side they put out there's still at least 4 walk up starts out of that side no Fishlock, no Pollard, no Pitman and as for the president thinking the league was perfect if you listened to his comments during the presentation directly after the game he had a huge dig at the league with Warman standing no more than 10 metres away.

Just a thought if hackham fold what happens to the lost percentage for the clubs that havent played them yet. If it came down to percentage to make the finals and you missed out to a team that had beaten hackham by 40 or 50 goals and you had to take the 10 goal percentage boost allocated to you for them not playing you would be spewing. The only way i can see it being fair would be to adjust all the clubs percentage that have played hackham down to the 10 goal margin. However in doing that you open up the can of worms regarding leading goal kickers ect.

If hackham folded the league would have to take away all existance of hackham from the whole season. percentage/medal votes/and goalkickers. thats the only fair way. If not the leading goalkickers and mail medallist would be a joke.

Pretty sure morphies had their wingman earl as well as there newer ruckman (bode) out. I think hes young but would still disrupt the team pattern. so that makes Fishlock/Pollard/Earl/Bode/Pittman? all out and tightlines is talking about a 17 year old being the difference. interesting.

Seems also that both Erickson brothers missed and heard that that big number 5 bloke didn't play also, should make for interesting selections down at Emu park in the ensuing weeks...

I agree Lova, if Hackham do not last the year then that is the only scenario possible, all percentages adjusted to 10 goals and scrub the goals kicked and mail medal votes... Case closed, there could not possibly be another scenario...

Does anyone know what Anderson had to say after the match? Heard his ¾ time speech and it was pretty unimpressive. Seem to take the wind right out of cove. Altho saying that I think they kicked the first 2 goals of the 4th quarter so maybe it worked. Wasn’t very positive tho.

Morphies little men (Bayley x2, S.Hill etc) looked like they were hungrier. Also Cove didn’t appear to have a big man to take a consistent grab up forward. Smith & Gaskin controlled the air down back.

Think Cove will have learnt a lot though from that match and M/Vale could possibly have to deal with going into finals undefeated. Might sound stupid but the amount of pressure that could place - I’m not sure if that’s a good thing.

I know what your saying hills. Im sure the league will find a difficult and non relavent equation to work out the percantage etc for each team taking weather/wind/temp for the rest of the season and square rooting it by the gravitational force of the earth on the moon. and in turn f****king up the whole season including the premiership table/mail medal and goalkickers. but in there defense things like the mail medal havent been stuffed up in the last few years have they......

Hackham would have to finish the year off, and then go from there. Most probably folding at seasons end.

I said he was the difference in the MATCH not the sides it had nothing to do with who was out and in. The fact is the game was close at that time and he went on a hot streck everyone knows who was out i was commenting on the game that was played and the players that played in it youve taken it the wrong way and without a doubt they will get better its very obvious but Saturday he was the difference.

sorry there TL, was wearing my heart on my sleeve and thought you were doing the same. can see what you were saying now. I saw the game also and he was pretty impressive. especially for a 17-18 year old. as an emu supporter wouldnt mind seeing a bit mor of him at wheatsheaf rd. but pretty sure hell have a crack at ressies at south by the end of the year.
Personally i thought small bayly was the difference. lifted the emus throughout the whole day. both played well tho.

why not just adjust the margins for the hackham games to 40 goals that seems to be the minimum going rate for a game against hackham these days! If it wasn't going to effect the ladder I'd say kick them out yesterday they offer nothing to the league and it's becoming a running joke around other leagues.

Hey Zelezny... If we standardised on 40 goals or 10 goals would it make a difference...?? Funny you say they should be gone i think you'll find that the last 3 pages hints at that idea also, none the less thanks for your valuable input...!!

The only non regular season player "on loan" from south was Carroll. not sure about coves side they didnt seem to have any new players that I saw.
