How about number 37 from South kneeing the Freeling bloke in the face?

South boys clearly went the knuckle when the game was lost...

Dont condone it all Extractor but with 5 minutes to go and a certain Prelim spot booked it was rather silly to retaliate that way. Was sitting just down from a couple of league directors and think there may be a couple of boys from both sides who get a please explain.

So everyone is just meant to
Stand around and let a mate get belted 3 on 1. And like anyone knows how long it is to go the game

Bit of a differance between helping out a mate and coming in throwing haymakers.
Would hate to see him miss a final but it ls always the retaliator that gets caught. Hope the South bloke gets a few weeks holiday, pretty low act IMO.
South were an undisciplined rabble and Freeling were very worthy winners, pressure was good all day, not sure if they can match it with the top 2 but if they play with the spirit they did today who knows.
All up a pretty good day of footy, only saw the last 1/4 of the juniors but that was a highly skilled game, both sides had some absolute rippers playong for them. The u17's was a typical cracker between the two Gawler sides who just dont get along, Centrals looked to have it in the bag midway through the final term but South came from almost nowhere to pinch it by a point. Good composure from the young South lad to put through the winner from about 45m out. The ressies well it was fairly ordinary standard wise but a good game none the less, Freeling more than worthy winners.
Guess the A's was the only disappointing game as a neutral, Nuri had a crack for a quarter and a bit but were crushed in the end. Not alot of option for Nuri up forward where as South had the luxury of throwing Lawry forward where he kicked 3 or 4 in the second quarter, Marshall dominated all over the ground and the conditions suited the South running game, very quick and nimble.
Well looks like the cup is heading to Gawler, only hope the weather and games are as good for the remainder of the finals.
Hats off to Angaston who I thought did a fairly good job running the day, oval wasnt in top condition but wasnt bad

Pretty sure all hay makers were regreted and as you said retaliation probably no
The only bloke to get carried away on the footy field. Hard to not throw them when they had already been thrown. Agree with everything you said though good post. Nuri the lucky one left in 4th the top 3 in a grade were a league above all year.

I woodve been embarrassed to have been one of the 3 South players to take on one Freeling player, absolutely gutless !! Carmichael did exactly what he should have and come to the aid of his teammate against the spineless pricks and should've been rewarded and not sent off !! On a positive side the Freeling boys played some great footy and displayed some true grit and desire to win (a trademark of the last 4-5 games) GO LEGGIES

Jim to see the big fridge charging across the field at full steam was one of the funniest things I have seen on a footy field for years. Good on him for sticking up for a fellow team mate when he was getting attacked by 3 opposition players.
Lucky the Fridge ran into someone otherwise he would have ended up at pt stanvac.
South impresive in the A grade and I think they can go all the way.
Doubt if Willaston with their injuries can get up against either of the other 2 Gawler teams
Will be interesting to see how many turn up for the remainder of the finals series with the Gawler teams p[laying in most footy and netball finals.
Lucky the GF is at Tanunda as this is the only way the valley people will be attending.

Went out to Willaston for a look today. Perfect weather and the ground in pristine condition. Willaston did a good job of hosting the day IMO.
On to my thoughts on the games.
U15's, pretty good game to watch, Barossa had the bigger bodies but Tanunda had plenty of pace. Barossa led 3 goals to nil at 1/4 Time but failed to kick another goal as Tanunda ran over them to win by a couple of goals.
SC's was the game of the day for me. Two sides having a red hot dip, Barossa kicked poorly early and had 1.7 to 0 at one stage, South hit the front after a 4 goal to nil third quarter. Real arm wrestle in the last with Barossa goaling to level it with under a minute to go. Went to extra time where South prevailed by a couple of kicks.
Ressies was the result most people expected, Freeling came at them several times but Willaston always had the answers and won by a few goals in the end.
A grade was a ripping contest early, 8 goals to 5 Souths way at 1/4 Time, way too much pace for Willaston. South really blew it open in the second quarter and the big fella up forward with the tatts put on a clinic. Willaston looked to have taken a few injured players into the game and were ran off their feet. The game got a bit farcical in the third with South up by close to 10 goals and Willaston started targetting the man. Umpiring was pretty average and for some reason the third umpire spent alot of time on the field but didnt actually do much.
South ran out easy 10 goal winners to set up a GF with Centrals.
Overall good day at the footy, hope Tanunda can get the oval up to scratch fir next week
