Assuming Bob O'Connor is still with us, he'll be there holding up the bar no doubt... a lovely man.

Well I believe I have been vindicated. My sources tell me, the Gepps Cross player was found not guilty. Like I said a waste of everyone's time

Were you at the tribunal? From what I've heard is that gepps brought in a heap of witnesses and may have bent the truth as to what happened. Also from what I've heard it was just turned until a circus by a former league official who also walked out and confronted the umpire, if he had been anyone else he would've been in a lot of trouble for what he did.

No I wasn't but I have a very good source who was (not GX). My experience at tribunals is that witnesses tend to bend the truth depending on their desired outcomes, so its no surprise 'bending' happened.
As far as the confrontation after the tribunal, the umpire should now take the matter further, but I believe he has had enough of the whole sorry saga.

He's not pursuing it because the former league official will make it all about himself. Stories over - move on.

Congrats to Club Captain and Fullback Ian Ralston for his 200th Senior Game yesterday....The team for its part put four quarters of football together to give "Ralo" a narrow victory over fourth placed Broadview at the "Den" to celebrate his milestone. In a great match by both sides where the lead changed four times in an exciting final term, the 'Lions' clearly played their best football thus far in an otherwise disappointing season....

Final result didn't reflect the contest at PNU yesterday. It was a point the difference at quarter time, less than a goal at the half and the Cats had a 5 point lead with 5 minutes to go in the third. From that point PNU were irrepressible kicking the last 11 from memory. That would become a 63 point margin.

It was good to catch up with some of the Walkerville faithful and have a beer with their Prez and former Premiership team mate. Hopefully they can get a few of their injured players back and sneak into the 5.

The other key stats yesterday was the unbelievable game of Nick "The Situation" Jolly kicking 10.5 and handing a couple off. I did hear one astute observer call it early that he would kick 10, self high five :) . Final stat is PNU winning the minor premiership and booking a home final in the second week of the final for a spot in both a GF and Div 1. Certain to be a big day at the Falconry 8)

Correct. If we win our first final we are through to one. I rest my case :)

Seems to be a little tension in the air... Perhaps Wristy and jo172 should take this off line for a small bet. If so, gamble responsibly.

Great to have the minor premiership locked away. Looking forward to the couple away games we have left before a couple massive weeks in September. Cannot wait! Up the falcs.
