Tommy Ramone passes

Postby Leaping Lindner » Sun Jul 13, 2014 2:45 am

Tommy Ramone died friday at the age of 65. Tommy was the last of the original four piece left. Although I didn't discover the Ramones until their 1980 tour of Australia, by which time Marky was behind the drums, this still hits hard. Tommy drummed on Ramones and Rocket to Russia widely acknowledged as possibly the Ramones finest albums.

It does hit hard. I've felt a bit hollow the past couple of days.
There aren't too many 'great' bands who have lost all of their band members already.
A watershed moment in rock history.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
