I only know him as Hutchy. Been playing B grade out there im pretty sure. Little in and under type. Has been a bit disappointed in not getting many opportunities. From what i hear he is originally from Bordertown and goes to uni with Amos Wilson. Should be interesting to see how he goes. No doubt A1 woud be a bit stronger than the Adelaide Plains league as far as depth goes although there is definate talent in the APFL that would have no worries at all in wlking into some of the A1 teams i have watched in recent times. More than likely he will line up in the B grade for atleast a couple until he forces his way in. Seems strange seen as though one thing the Eagles do have are plenty of midfielders! :?

They did sign another midfielder during the week from Gepps Cross in div 1.
The selector was from the game against Balak on the weekend. The players face he re arranged by no means needed any outside help in doing so. He may be blessed football wise but looks wise is another question. Hopefully he doesnt read this or i might be banned from the port!!

so how many imports now at malalla?

Not sure what your on about there faxu, wedgie talking about a potential signing for hummocks not mallala. But Mallala have a few like everyone, just good quality ones! Godd to see Campbell coaching the rams faxu, reckon he ll make a big difference there. What are your views on his appointment?

Interesting wedgie, Gepps sacked thier coach last week too, so he may have had an affiliation with him or alternatively now that the coach has gone, ol' hutchy boy might get looked after a bit more by the new coach.

signing off boys. Good luck to all on the weekend. Unfortunately i'll be a no show on the plains tomorrow due to other less exciting commitments but has to be done. Look forward to reading the mail sunday morning, hopefully with some close results. Sad as it is to say, the Eagles might be rolling out next week to training on the back of their first back to back defeat in a long time albeit in a close game. Mallala too fit and too good at this stage of the year. United to win easy in the other though not as confident as Swampy in his prediction. The Cocky to kick 4, Serle to kick 8. 80 points the margin. Balak to back up their win last week and leave the Roosters a bit of a challenge in the second half of the year to make the top four.

last one. Yeah heard that Swampy. Apparantly it came down to the assistant coach who i hear is a sponsor as well saying its either Jacko or its me. Gepps being money grabbing like they are went with the sponsor. They have everything to play for this saturday. Buried one of their champion young players Monday in shocking circumstances. Touching day all round was the mail as you would expect.
Your right, change of coach can make the difference to players particularly on the outer. I can vouch for that myself a few years back when Hummocks went from Harry to Wilson.

yeah, Chrissy c was a hard running player and this will no doubt rub off on the players.stokes was not given any assistance from the vfc committee in the way of obtaining 2-3 key position players and with some of the lads that stokes brought with him this years outcome would have been totally different. Shane is one of very few who step's out of their comfort zone and takes on a job no outsider's have ever achieved success with the import rule, how many imports r at these two clubs and there are no absolute guarantees that all clubs are truthful when supplying addresses, and no legal, cost effective way to police it properly !but if i say to much of the truth i fear the post will be deleted. by now

Nah sorry boys your close, but lets be honest i wouldnt say anyway!!! i wish i could still run around like Joshua Hollitt believe me!!

Nah certainly was a good game, however both sides still had a lot of players down on the day, so it wasnt a real pretty game but a close game is always good to watch. Joel makes big difference to Hummocks as we saw saturday. All in all though, hummocks were too good on the day, but no major issues for mallala's game!
One issue Wedgie, not sure which selector from balak you were on about last week that was giving out kidney punches all day to one of your golden boys last week, but if you watched the game saturday, the player you said was copping it last week , certainly gave out his fair share saturday to some of the young magpies players, so i say you get what you give!! Not quite as courageous as one may think!!

How true!! I cant see what is to be achieved by hitting a young bloke. A smart player would get in his head, no need to hit them, unless they have a crack themself.

absolutely no problems with a bit of rough stuff on the field. I mean, thats one of the reasons we play this game. And yes, our golden boy is inclined to play that way. Cheap shots can be a part of football but that wasnt really my argument, more so, a person in position of power, which as a selector you do have that power, using that power to get to a player he will then turn to to represent his zone in the near future. My argument is he should either remove himself from the selection committe, or playing. While he may say it will not effect his decision should he become entangled in a n onfield incident, im tipping human nature will prove other wise and a certain bias would exist. As a selector, he also only sees a player he plays against each week and should be more committed to the role by watching different games from an off field perspective.
Im sure my views may differ from the rest of you but thats the way it is. Just as well im right! :D
Wel done to the eagles, im back on the bandwagon but lets be honest, the weekend showed there is more to life than football, and to the town and families effected by the tragic weekend incident, my thoughts are with you. In true football club nature, stick together and support each other and lets hope you come through the other side closer and stronger.

Wedgie, well written.
I certainly could not agree with you more about how he is abusing his position, particularly verbally to other players, dont get me wrong, you make a very good point. Why he is in, or how he got into that position is beyond me, he's a pretty 'different' unit afterall.

Any sign of Rooster? Been real quiet of late! Someone forget to throw the ol' boy some wheat last week? Hope he is ok, good value ol' Rooster!!!!!!
