I think we can all guess who that was.
Anyone at the Waik v LN match?
Apparently there was 3 umpires officiating.
A waste of time methinks....thoughts?

id love to see 3 umpires coz the ones that are there at the moment have to stop making calls 100m behind play, they cant keep up which means there always out of position. and thats when the game gets out of control the 2 fights ive seen in our games this year have been because of poor umpiring decisions.

You're probably right Hanno...but the majority of our umpires get it wrong from 5 metres away as well.

id agree with that barry. more umpires in my opinion would mean even more over zealous umpiring, taking nothing away from them cause its a tough job but theres a few who like to think its their game rather than everyones.

There are a select few who get it right and most of them are former players.
It's the ones who have either been out of the game for too long or haven't played before who get it wrong.
I'd still like to see it trialled though to see the results.
Could be a good thing.

be great to trial it BD but your other problem is umpire numbers. i think trialling it for 1 game a round will give inconsistent results. it needs to be either trialled across the board (perhaps only in RFL A grade, dont worry about magoos or Indys for now) or not trialled at all.
thats my opinion, which will be reffered to from here on as fact.

Haha. I take everything you say as fact Crushy.

It would be a lot easier on the umpires if there is 3.
Less stress on the dodgy hamstrings, maybe allowing them to do 2 games in a day i.e. under 18s then A grade.

I know what BD does get, and they don't qualify as ladies.

Actually, Barry is vomiting still a part of your routine to woo the ladies? ;)
