Round 10 - Sturt v Norwood @ Envestra Park (Sun 15/6)

Postby Big Phil » Tue Jun 10, 2014 10:35 pm

The Double Blues jumped into 2nd spot, with the Eagles losing as well, by defeating the Panthers while the Redlegs will be keen to continue their winning ways after a mediocre victory over the Bloods in a terribly dour game...

The battle of the Eastern Suburbs neighbors should be an interesting one and has some really exciting match ups to look forward to...

STURT v NORWOOD

Envestra Park, Unley

Sunday, June 15th 2014

Reserves @ 11:25am

League @ 2:10pm

Broadcast - No Broadcast*

*I have heard this game will have a couple of people commentating it, I assume for the highlights to go on The Recovery Session, so there may be a possibility it could be live streamed on the SANFL site?

Good point, could never work that one out when Unley is clearly further south than East.
If Unley is in the Eastern suburbs then so is Prospect with Elizabeth being further east again!
Prospect Oval is closer to Norwpod Oval than Unley Oval is by approximately 100 metres. ;)

I was on the front page of the Prospect Messenger when living at Happy Valley.
Didn't make me from the Northern suburbs.

Who cares, it is only trivial. Bigger things to worry about, as Booney implied :)

To the game at hand, itself, now that discussions on the clubs' geographical locations have reached a pinnacle...

I heard this morning that the SANFL have decided to have this game Live Streamed, which will please the Sturt and Norwood fans not attending...

Do you think things could turn South for Sturt?

I think Norwood are a chance for the upset here, maybe...

But, for the time being, I will sit on the fence, at least until I see the selected sides :)

Things have turned for Sturt and South. Will they turn for North, any time soon? ;)

Beating the bottom-placed Bays doesn't really count, does it? Will they beat West?

What's the capacity at Unley these days? Are they still capped at 5 thousand?

Sturt have been the surprise of the season, and apart from Port, arguably the most consistent team. Sturt in a close one.

I honestly believe Norwood will win this one as players like Rooke and Wilson are improving by the hour.
The trademark Norwood pressure and tackling are a MUST though otherwise kiss your arse goodbye as Sturt with time are lethal.
Accurate kicking for goal might help too !
Should be a bloody good game.
