I think the bowlers will be doing a bit of bowling without batsmen before they finish training in future.

Its pretty funny that out of the 17 balls bowled, only ball 13,14 and 17 actually hit the stumps! Probably came in and bowled very slowly, just trying to hit the stumps. Will never hit doing that.

I have never heard of this tie-break play off before, let alone heard of it happening!!

Is it kind of like a penalty shoot-out like in soccer? Obviously each bowler has two goes at bowling the balls at the stumps. What are the rules regarding bowling action ie in theory you could just underarm the ball hard at the stumps, or a spin bowler might be more accurate if he bowled faster of a couple more steps, and vice versa for a fast bowler?

Wouldn't the most logical and fair way be to go by who lost the least amount of wickets, which means that West Indies would have won!?!


I can't see the point of bowling the ball at the stumps to decide who wins the game. Why not have each bowler bowl two balls to a batsman and see who can hit the most sixes? At least that way you involve both batsmen & bowlers in deciding the outcome of the match, and it would be more entertaining.

Or you could do what traditionally would have happen - called the match a tie and left it at that!

I-rection. Or, if the result must be decided, why not have 2 x 5 overs each, full scale match? Maybe that's not logcal, due to time constraints, but if they must have a result...
