Last month, former Australian cricketer Michael Bevan entered the mortgage broking industry with his new business, Michael Bevan Mortgages. He is working with the Franchise Shop and former Kiwi cricket rival Adam Parore - who has an established mortgage broking business in New Zealand - to create his own mortgage broking franchise company.

"I have always loved real estate and investment, so it seemed a natural progression to move into mortgage broking", Bevan says.
