Just need to submit 3 cards in an official competition I think.

You need to submit 3 cards signed by a parter with an official handicap, but it doesn't need to be 3 competition rounds. Thos 3 cards need to be scored as stroke too.

Yeah but those cards have to be sent back to your home club. If he plays in official competition as a guest then its done automatically.

That's right. I was stating that the 3 rounds don't have to be played (in this case @ Pt Hughes) at the home course to get a handicap.

It's when Pro's do this sort of thing that makes me feel a little better about my game

Richard H Lee's daughter went on to tell him that she could have done better on 17, as she could have at least hit the ball forward

Have played Pt Vincent a few times now as the I inlaws live there. Fantastic course unfortunately lacking enough water to maintain greens. Not through lack of trying from what I have been told. Every time I head out there the last 3 holes along the cliffs make me stop and think how lucky I am to be out playing golf. Great bunch out there to go with it. Enjoy!!!

Had a thought yesterday as to why I am not taking advantage of the putting green at the Par 3 practice area. I work about a 10 minute walk from there and never thought of going there during a lunch for a putt and chip. Contacted them yesterday to see if there was a cost at all, and there isn't, so I know where I'll be once or twice a fortnight going forward :supz: \:D/

for those who like golf on nice courses, it might pay to check out the scoopon app/ website. The Vines are on there again offering a round for 2 with a beer for $39 and for 4 $69

I should add I had a few pars and I only sprayed 2 drives - one was shocking and the other was on the 8th where I used the angle of the fairway on the right to run the ball from the rough on the left onto the green to narrowly miss a birdie putt

if I can get a late tee off at around 10 - ill be there, but that's unlikely that they would have groups at that time!
