Was having a look at the budget and glenelg only had 13 players listed with SANFL league experience!
Blooding up too 8 debutants in a game isn't ever going to end well!

Can any tigers supporters give info on who was missing?

Well that is a big surprise for me. After extensive high profile recruiting Glenelg are no better...... well at this stage.
Looks like Sturt may improve on their promise shown last year. Having regular players not in and out from AFL will help Sturt settle and develop more.
Two games and two surprises ( to most ) sets the pace for a very even year with more upsets to come this round no doubt.
Well done Sturt.

Co-captains Allen and Bradley missed, and Hender, but he's been out for nearly 12 months. Apart from that though...

Was Glenelgs game plan noticibly different under the new coach?

Watched the highlights. Good to see some footy. Thought I'd not be as interested but seeing the blue boys in action was good. The fact the crows got spanked is a plus!

Great to get into Round 1, the players always look so keen to mix it and it showed again on Friday night. A mixed bag of a game though, terrific contests around the ball with some really quick ball movement. Coupled with some poor skills and haphazard bombing into both forward lines.
Sturt won't be as terrible as some people have been suggesting. Glenelg might be ok but their ruckman looked a tad unfit and it's tempting to think Alleway and Kirby are past it but time will tell.
