24 scoring shots to just 11 looks a bit on the damning side.

Great win. Reading through the Snouts forum, they were going to knock us off by 40+ points!

We were all over them from the start. They hung in there but really never looked to have the quality to win the game.

Our defensive effort was brilliant with Beard, Stephens, Hinge and Harms doing a superb job. Kirkwood was super impressive, Kurtze worked like a plough horse all night and Duldig gave us something up forward. Forward line would be our biggest worry for mine. We need another tall option. My opinion is Coad CHF, Evans CHB.

Bay's looked under pressure all game and were very panicky in defence.

I reckon a lot of people have underestimated us this year... We've recruited well and have some young guns who got a taste last year who have really come on - Calabrese, Krause, Greenslade, Kelly, Hansen and Crocker. Penfold and Gore look the real deal too.

Very impressed by our constant intense effort across 4 quarters.

woeful due in parts to sturts pressure, reckon it took 5 minutes before we had an effectual kick, our forward line was non existent whereas dogger dominated for the blues, very disappointing performance

Thought Sturt played with a lot of Heart last year but lacked a few players so well done!

Bays v Crows for the spoon is my early call!

Goes to show trial games count for zip. Norwood didn't win one and neither did Sturt. Take note Panther supporters (though I hope you knock off the Bloods)...

10 touches, one mark, no scoring shots, stuff all tackles and clearances. Not regretting Ken Mc passing on him just yet.

Credit where's credit's due to Sturt, should have won by more.

The Bays were deplorable in the last 1 1/2 quarters.

Couldn't have asked for a worse start to a season.

Wait until Alleway gets cited on video for starting the half time melee and drawing blood from their skipper, although you may be better off without him on tonight's effort. Great night at the bay though with about 5000 there I reckon.
