Yes the pitch is flat. Which is why we shouldn't have enforce the follow on. With vic having something to chase there was always more chance of getting the 20 wkts. Who cares if they won outright

This is highly unusual, and there might be some controversy , given that its the business end of the cricketing season

The great man Les Burdett was in the lockleys hotel tonight,i was going to thank him for producing such a boring pitch for all those years and obviously the trend has continued,but i thought let him keep believing that he is still king of the domain.FFS CHUCK dont play two spinners at home play 4 quicks and 1 spinner,seen a few times in previous years that interstate teams have played and won outright.FFS.

burdett hasnt been the AO curator for a couple of years now, though likely still has a consultative role

Good bowling attacks with adventurous captains will take 20 wickets on any surface. Its a cop out to say its the wickets fault for not having more results.
Adelaide oval has seen some great last day results, a point we seem to quickly forget.

Its a great surface to bat on and if you bend your back you get wickets.

Drop ins are prepped exactly the same way as normal wickets. So stop blaming the wickets.

No it's not at the moment. The heat really cooked the square ( the santa anna is going great, just the other couch isn't fairing too well) plus too much cricket per weekend ( approx 200 overs), kids with no spikes all adds up to very little grass in the crease areas. The actual pitch itself is playing ok and holding together.



There was a bit of a concern with the u/15 pitch the other Sunday against your guys, although I didn't see any of the game, my gut feeling is the report made was a bit of an over reaction.

Have past and present Adelaide Oval pitches affected chances of gaining outrights in the SS ?
In turn , is this one of the reasons why SA has not won more SS titles ?

I apologise for any confusion , for those posting on Adelaide Oval Test pitches/results etc

I believe the redbacks have proven over the years they can lose on any type of pitch. I suspect the wicket has as much impact as the colour of their undies
