Plays ridiculously far away from his body and more often than not hits the ball at a catchable height even when he hits then well

my god you guys are harsh critics

he averages 48 in first class cricket, and 46 in ODIs, and he is 21 years old.

what more does he have to do?

Make runs in proper cricket, not mickey mouse T20's and ODI's.
Yes he is young and will probably improve and he has to because he looked like a number 11 this test.
