You can't pour concrete above about 35 degrees. Brickys have similar problems also with their mortar. Tile glue is also less effective in hot weather.
Sustained hot weather is a nightmare for the construction industry

FC is talking about a timber frame. I understand that about not pouring concrete, but i'm sure if they could pour it on a 45 degree day there would still be some that wouldn't work. I've only ever had 1 day off work due to heat and that was a few years ago up in Port Hedland. The reason we had it off was because the only road into the site had started to melt and got closed.

Mainly I'm sick of the East Coast news reports claiming a 42 degree day is the end of the friggen world but when Perth, Adelaide and Alice Springs clock up 7 days above 35 its lucky to make the news....

You got to be joking right? When has Adelaide had 40 plus weather and had a cyclone warning as well? Or like next Saturday 38 degrees and 40-80mm of rain. I'd take Adelaide Weather anyway over WA.

Do yourself a favour and go up to Karatha and Port Hedland and see what the weather is like up there and how close it comes to perth.
