I was told Jervois are sniffing around a couple of Victor Harbor players.

Trying to entice Ewer back to the Bluds?? Could potentially bring a few mates with him.

Yeah, I can confirm Hein won't be coaching next year. He is a great bloke and a lot of people will be sad not having him around but unfortunately some players and committee members don't have the faith in him. He was told we will be looking at options and his response was he was happy to ster aside and won't be re-applying

Also true that Kay won't be there next year. He has opted to go back to his old club for one season as its a milestone year for the club and they are offering ex-locals flights in and pretty good cash to get them a flag. I would be surprised if he didn't return in 2015 tho

As for Cheer & Margitich, it's a bit unknown at this stage. Marga is getting some big offers from clubs in the Hills and SAAFL so will be hard to keep him. Cheer I believe has been approached by Jervois for stupid amounts so we will see what happens there.

As for gains, who knows but rumors suggest Dougall, Thompson, Cowland & Konitzka could all play. These guys are all zero pointers so would be perfect to replace any outs but none of these are confirmed.

That's interesting re Margatich, don't think he is worthy of big $$ on what I've seen. Kay will be a big loss! Jervois being linked with a lot of players, they have real potential next year if they keep everyone. Who's Thompson Biffboy? I assume you mean Adam? Hasn't he been given the coaching gig at Yank?

How is Konitzka a zero point player? Wouldnt he have played his junior football in Port Lincoln?

Also someone mentioned Jervois and Meningie will have 18 points? How would this be determined, especially given one of them played finals.

Is points allocation randomly allocated for season 2014, or perhaps according to some newly developed formula?

18 points wow! for a team that finished 5th. I heard they're trying to cut mannum down to 10 from 15 last year. I believe the system is random and decided on by one individual in particular.

Yeah, Marga had a quiet year but was good in 2012 & trained at North Adelaide this year. Yes I mean Adam, I haven't heard he was coaching there but as I said, just rumors that I have heard

Under the RMFL father son rule, he's apparently a zero pointer & yeah I know, it's a bit of baloney that rule but why not take advantage of it if you can. A lot of other teams seem to bend the rules lately

Its 50 years since his Junior club last Merged to form the current club. As for winning a flag next season I doubt that would be high on the agenda as they last won in 2012.

Since when has this rule been the case? I believe if you didn't play your 25 games as a colt for that club you will get the points put on you.

I think it's right throughout the state. If your dad's a life member of a club, then you are worth 0 points.

Well life member is a little in consistent isn't it? As some clubs seem to nearly hand them out willy nilly these days, eg, some clubs give them out at 150 senior games others at 250, so I don't see how this system is fair at all

Biffboy it seems that jervois are actively recruiting hard within the league, throwing plenty of money around, some would say, more than what these players are worth, but that's what they are doing to try and lure them from there current/home club. People's thoughts on this? I believe you shouldn't be able to just recruit from clubs within the league, slap 5 points on these players could fix this problem couldn't it? Just an idea...
