That's right - 2 will go for 3 next year as 17 players can still play with the u18s team next year.

Your mail obviously didn't see the Eagles pump North in the 2nd Semi Final, then?

Good for the young Eagle boys to win a Premiership. Can't see anyone from the team on Sunday playing a few A Grade games next year - maybe Karpany (who played 2 this year) and Tasman Fitzgerald but both may be taken in the draft anyway. Disappointed in the field kicking by the Eagles - very few with penetrating kicks.
But well done on 2013 season.

You can't go on one game Premiers, as they are young and still trying to get a grip of the game.

Premiers - were you there for the start of the match? The first half played by the Eagles was some of the best U18 football you could ever see. Amazing skills with just about every disposal hitting a target, no need to do big bombs. Your criticism is a little harsh, you must remember the U18s lost five players (promoted) from the previous match against North. Only disappointing part was the fade out in the second half.

I agree, Eagles pressure and skills were fantastic in the first half they just worked a lot harder than the North boys and hardly missed a target. It is difficult to maintain that intensity for the whole game though, hence the North comeback. Eagles had exactly the same team that played against North in the Qualifying final, so not sure about those 5 players being promoted.
