As a member of the public I went to the 1969 medal count (Fred Phillis) in the Adelaide Town Hall. I believe this was telecast by Channel 9 with KG as the host. The famous story of the 1966 Medal winner Ron Kneebone being at the Royal Show on the evening of the medal .... and being found by 5AD (they may have broadcast it that year?)
Well well. The Maccas Cup GF and the Reserves GF are being live streamed! That's a good thing for sure, but it does beg more questions about why the Magarey Medal couldn't be live streamed!
