Excellent question Booney, but the question I have is WHO are we meant to replace them with? No one has come forward with an alternative board!!

If that bloke for the Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party can hold a senate seat and hold the balance of power on future legislation that effects the whole of Australia I don't see why fester can't be the Director at the Norwood Football Club and make decisions for the good of football in this state. However I'd suggest if the SANFL went to fester with the same deal they went to Tripodi with fester would drop his pants and bend over just like Tripodi

I'd make sure I'd get more than $50,000 and would only vote in the best interests of Norwood, and if other clubs couldn't survive by themselves, stiff shit!!

Shit, that's a big turn around Fester !!!

When did that earlier position you held (and we admired), which was more about the betterment of the league as whole (not just Norwood), evaporate ????

It's called sarcasm dogbreath.
For some reason I'm being treated like the "public" face of Norwood and it's my fault we voted YES.

And yes UK fan, I have had it confirmed by someone else that Norwood voted NO.

Maybe cennals05 could ask the Norwood board member he/she works with??

Also the cleverest.
This AFL reserves debacle could cost me the company of my best mate of 20 years at footy matches. He has taken it really hard.
All I have done is accepted what has happened and decided to stay.
Yet again I say, I love Norwood, players and my supporter family to much to walk away.

Hang your heads in shame you disgraceful bunch of "gentlemen"!!
You stood in front of MEMBERS in the Premiers Bar on more than one occasion and said Norwood Football Club will vote NO!
You looked members in their faces and you plain and simply LIED!!!

You are not proactive leaders but reactive COWARDS!!!
You are no better than Trigg when it comes to lying!!
Integrity be stuffed!! You are nothing more than AFL Muppets!!

WE the MEMBERS voted for you in good faith and now you have killed off the competition as we know it.
Next year we play a RESERVES/DEVELOPMENTAL team who will not give a stuff if they win or lose!

DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE????
I dare you to offer an even somewhat reasonable explanation for your despicable act of treachery and back-stabbing!!

Sadly I respected you as late as yesterday.

Now my heart is full of hate for what you have done!!!!!

TONIGHT YOU KILLED A PIECE OF ME AND I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!!!!

So these words can be taken with a grain of salt . Cos you claimed you'll NEVER forgive them.

Yet one week later not only had you forgiven them. You were very poorly justifying there "despicable act of treachery".

Does your acceptance also make you a coward and no better than trigg (your words)???

Or are you simply in denial as to what your board has really done ???

To quote your mate of 20 years "how can you be so blasé about the death of our league" . your attempt to use this as angle to get revenge in those who have taken "pot shots" at you over the years is simply a dog act in not just your fellow Norwood supporters opinion.

Keith Thomas-lite?

He should f*ck off back to Glenelg.

Say what you like, I have NEVER said I have forgiven the Board!! I hate their decision!
Where have I poorly attempted to defend their decision??
I have simply accepted the fact it has happened and no matter what Crusade you think you can run it will NEVER be overturned!!

How many times do I have to try and get it through your thick head that I choose to stay and not walk away?
You used to amuse me with you fixation on my posts, now you just bore me.
You come across as a sad, lonely individual with an inflated view of your own self worth. I think I'll ignore your posts and taunts because honestly I can't be bothered stroking your little ego!!

All I care about at the moment is winning this year's Premiership.

Bye bye UK fan.

p.s. Maybe try adult match maker??

So you didnt come onto safooty falsely claim the commission were going to overrule the clubs no Matter how they voted ???
And abuse those that suggested that was crap "are you that stupid that you think the commission weren't going to their way" ????

It's not my fault you cant understand the SANFL constitution.

"Centrals voted last so it was meaningless" on a vote that was suppose to have unamious support. Does any of this Sound familiar.

I don't care if you go next year. as if Anyone gives two Gary macintosh's what you do ???? It's your life. I wish I could be so blasé about it I honestly do. Enjoy next year, enjoy your flag this year which i think you are a monty for and when you win this years flag. ill yet again personally shake your hand and congratulate you like I did last year.

Our gripe is your clubs backflip nothing else. And your looking down on centrals/south for doing what your club should of done. simply to make yourself feel better. also your enjoyment at seeing fellow SANFL supporters pain due to your boards betrayal to our league. Which has been noted by your fellow Norwood supporters/best mate for 20 years as a dog act that I'd expect from crows/power fans. Not a SANFL fan who hasn't missed a game for 40 years.

If you think Myself and Mick are the ones being egotistical due to that so be it.

Alright you've hooked me again.
Your first three sentences are absolutely true, but in no way do they defend the decision of the Norwood board.

YOU turned it personal with your poxy little "pish and wind" comments and selective editing for your signature. That's when I decided to shit-stir, mainly YOU!!

As for my mate, in the last month or so he's said some things and sent some texts that honestly have been pretty hurtful. BUT he's my mate and I love him. If I need to be his sounding board for his venting cool, but eventually he'll be told to shut up and make a choice re footy. I'm confident our starship away from Norwood is just as strong.

I think you both need to look up blaisé in the dictionary. I think I am accepting and confident.

Four weeks ago when the docs told me your
cancer is on the move you need this course of oral chemo I said okay, accepted I had no choice and kicked it's arse.

No-one accused me of being blaisé then.

As long as their is a Norwood Football Club wearing red and blue, nicknamed the Redlegs and playing out of Norwood Oval I'll be supporting it, even if I don't always agree with it!!

Oh and I have missed 8 matches and 1 qtr in the last 40 seasons, but no Norwood Oval games in that time!! A proud record for a 44 y.o. if I do say so myself!! ;)

For the record the quotes in my signature are what you called yourself. Not what I called you.

I certainly don't agree you mentioned the commission overruling as a non justification of your boards deception. But happy to move on.

Just because you have accepted your boards deception i guess i wouldnt expect others to be so forgiving. Personally I think it's worse than what port did in 1990. I can't see how any Norwood member could ever trust their board again and find it staggering your happy to keep a board in charge of NFC who has constantly lied to its members thru out the process. But yet again that's up to you.

40 years is a phenomenal effort for which you should be applauded and I hope you enjoyed singing the club song with the boys on Saturday. Best of luck in finals and any future treatments. As always I'm happy to catch up and discuss the above over a beer.

Make the most of it. There's always debate about whether flags won after 1990 count. I've always thought it unfair to say that e.g. Central's 9 premierships are less valuable than flags won before 1990.

But wherever you are in this debate, I think few would doubt that flags won after 2013 are meaningless.

I believe the AFL integrity officer is looking quite deeply into the whole Port development side setup and may not allow it.
Bit of a concern by the AFL that Port may try to "hide" talented kids in one of their academy sides until draft day.

One little point in this article seems to have been missed.
Port Adelaide may be able to revive their juniors in the amateur league.
How will this effect the SANFL clubs whose zones will include part of the Port Adelaide area? Can imagine they'll have an uphill battle trying to get these players to their clubs, especially if a kid is a Port supporter. No doubt there will be some pissing in pockets to these players that they can still represent Port Adelaide.

How would that work? Amateur league does not run junior comps

exactly, unearthing potential young guns is something clubs put many hours every weekend into, kids don't fall through the gaps like they did 15-20 years ago
