Crsig had a bit of success in his initial years at the Crows, but he had already run his race there by the last couple of years at AFC. Similar to Worsfold this year at WCE.

Craig had to deal with the aftermath of Neeld's mess (playing list etc), so cant be that harshly judged for his efforts in the latter part of this season when he took over.

I don't agree. He was assistant to Neeld so is fully responsible for that mess. And when Neeld departed nothing improved. He had a great list at West Lakes and the club continually underachieved. Sorry, he's a spud

Im not one to defend Craig, but he was an assistant, so he's not "fully responsible". Neeld was active in forming the list, Craig cant be held (fully) accountable there.

By your reasoning Goodwin should have been suspend alongside Hird because he (Goodwin) was involved during the period that events occurred that the AFL suspended Hird over.

Completely agree GWW - no way an assistant can be held fully responsible - partly at best

I dont get what the big fuss is with Paul Roos. As of 2006, both him and Worsfold had a very similar record, both premiership coaches. Roos quits not long after and is all of a sudden the best coach there is...whereas Worsfold continues, has a few hard years and would not be rated anywhere near him.

Now he takes a 2-3 year term and wants a handover BEFORE he has even started? Get over yourself Paul!

Maybe look at where the 2 clubs are currently at. Roos could have been selfish and stayed and won another flag.

This is my point...he's not there, Horse is yet you are almost giving Roos credit for their recent success! What's to say Roos crap game style would of held up? They do not play the same now as they did back then.

Actually isn't that much different. More goals being kicked, that is a common trend in the afl.

its about marketing. Paul "Show me the money" Roos is very clever and has dobe everything to increase his price. Hopefully the karma bus doesnt hit square between the eyes and can make a big difference at melbourne.

What do you want him to do, take the job for free? Do you consider Melbourne as a charity or something?
