Round 23 "SUPER SANFL SUNDAY" Media Coverage

Postby PhilH » Fri Sep 06, 2013 9:06 pm

For those not at the games but with TV access on Sunday the ABC is going the extra mile to cover all 3 matches

The final day of the 2013 SANFL home and away season provides everything we love about the competition.

It’s close, tough, hard footy with plenty riding on the results. Westies, the Eagles, the Bulldogs and the Roosters will battle it out on Sunday for positions in the top five with the double chance still up for grabs.

ABC Television will bring home the action LIVE from ALL THREE crucial games on Sunday afternoon. The main coverage will come from Richmond Oval where West Adelaide hosts the Eagles. But there’ll also be cameras at Norwood Oval for Norwood v North and Unley Oval for Sturt v Central so SANFL fans can share the nail-biting finish to the minor round.

Neil Cross and James Gowans will be at Richmond while Ben Knights is at Norwood with Jarrod Cotton at Unley as the ABC keeps everyone up to date on how the final day of the minor round unfolds.

It should be a fabulous precursor to one of the closest finals series in SANFL history and the ABC will be there right to the last kick.

Sit back and enjoy every minute – coverage of all three games LIVE and UNINTERRUPTED on ABC1 SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 8th from 2pm.

If it's radio only or the web

LifeFM 107.9 ( http://www.lifefm.net ) will be first to air at 1.30pm

John Nankivell & Phil Herden will cover the Norwood v North game at the Parade with the most regular radio score updates from both Richmond and Unley including a "live ladder" if it all comes down to percentages.

RPH Adelaide 1197am (http://www.rphadelaide.org.au ) commences at 2pm broadcasting the Sturt v Central game at Envestra Park, Unley

RPH is also covering Glenelg v Port on Saturday from 3pm.

Sounds terrific but would love to work out a way to get net or radio coverage of those games covered by the ABC for interstate supporters.

Good effort all round.

1st thoughts were "bollocks" when I saw all 3 games covered by ABC. Glad to hear Life is at Norwood.

Is Rnd 23 the last time ABC will show SANFL ?
