No surprise that Thorntons have Norwood hot favourites but if I was a gambling man I might put a little on North for this game:

NORWOOD $1.20
NORTH $4.50

Yep, just keep doing what we've always done.
Amongst the various club info of late, Saint Joe spilled the beans and has stated categorically that our
clubs very much rely on Norwood Vs North matches to balance the books during home and away games.
Apparently our 2 grog squads & 'associates' are far & away the biggest old soaks in the whole f'kn league !!!
*sniff*
Makes ya' f'kn proud dunnit !??

Actually in all this banter you touch on a very sore point with me.

Norwood vs North matches are amongst the better drawing matches in the competition so why have their only been 1 match between them in the last 15 months. I thought that teams are supposed to play each other twice in the minor round one year and three times the next, yet Norwood and North played in April and June last year and only in May this year.

Last year's Prospect match was the biggest crowd pulling Saturday match for the year, and it was also televised which I believe can cost between 500 and 1000 more people. So what did the mental giants at the SANFL do this year? They not only made North vs Norwood at Prospect the TV game but they also put it on at the same time as the Crows were playing at Footy Park. One of the craziest bits of programming I have ever seen.

And they wonder why crowds are falling.
