Corporate Cup 8.15km - starts today actually. Will be using this as an excuse for an extra mid week training run.
City Bay 12km - On track for a time of around 54 minutes...maybe 53 at a stretch. Managed to do a 10km in 44:34 yesterday so quietly confident.
Yurrebilla 56km - Ramped up training for this over the last couple of months with 14km trail run Wednesdays and 25-30km run Sundays. throw in the street training of 1-2 x 10-12km runs and I think I am right (fingers crossed).

How did you go?

The wind at times along there this morning was terrible. Am also doing the 8.15 in preparation for city-bay

Havent done it yet Keefy. I am doing it after work this arvo. Yeah I was a tad worried about the wind!

Wind was fine. Nothing to worry about in the evening.
Did a time of 37:23. Happy with that first up.

Wind was gusty at times especially running back towards the start.
Give me rain or heat any day over wind, hate it.
Had an enjoyable run 39.45 and some nice sites along the way

Loved running in the rain this afternoon, did 38.58 which was Ok.
Marathon training is taking its toll, have a few sore spots at the moment.
Anyone doing any of the runs this Sunday, have entered the half in preparation for the marathon in 7 weeks.
Going to go hard and see if I can go under 94mins

Well that was an epic fail.Tried to go at 4.25 a km and blew spectacularly at 11km, the last 10 were fun NOT. Finished up 1.39.40.
Put it in the S*it happens basket and concentrate fully on the next 4-5 weeks of hard training ready for the Melbourne marathon.

Yeah I'm over it now, it wasn't the No 1 priority this year anyway.
In the end of the day I'm happy that I'm running and enjoying it.

Nice work pels. I got nowhere near my best time on corp cup this week. Would like to blame the heat (28 when I ran) and a head cold but think it might have been more heart muscle related.

What do you do 35kms in mate? Is it all road or some trails too?

All road for the last few months, I try and do the long runs at 5.10 - 5.20 pace depending how i feel.
