Rnd 23: Glenelg v Port - Sat 7th Sep @ Glenelg

Postby Wedgie » Mon Sep 02, 2013 8:24 pm

Final game for the Magpies and the Bays celebrating the spoon.
Remember the weird start time, 3.30pm.

Oh boy - It's here!

It's here at last!

SPOON DAY

In fact it will be double spoon day if the reserves result falls as expected; Port in the ressies and Glenelg in the seniors.

I will be disappointed if you Port fans do not turn up brandishing wooden spoons. Come and taunt me with your woodwork. An especially creative effort might even earn you a beer from me.

I plan to be in the Holdy for a couple of hours pre-game (one hour less thanks to the time change - f*** you very much Port Power). Anyone wanting to celebrate/commiserate Glenelg's spoon or Port's loss of independent existence is welcome to come and join me and reminisce of a time when our teams were not royally screwed. The league might be dying, but I'm going out with a bang, not a whimper.

As this is the only Saturday game what time does ABC's broadcast start, 3pm?

Correct. Leading into their covering of the SANFL finals on a Sunday, the ABC will be covering the game at City Mazda Stadium...

South Adelaide have wrapped up the reserves spoon since they have inferior percentage and the bye so unlike the Bays Port avoided their spoon

So if Port fans are bringing spoons for Glenelg fans

what can Glenelg fans reciprocate with ... something in teal perhaps?
