Put up a Facebook status about appreciating Mighty Mite more than Vegemite, and got shot down by a fair few people...including 2 SAFooty posters.

Just wondering what other people think.

Dont get me wrong, I love Vegemite too. But I just enjoy Mighty Mite more. I think its because its a bit sweeter, and easier on the pallet if you get a lump of it.

As a kid I used to prefer Marmite (English?) but I rarely eat any of them now.
I tend to keep a little Vegemite around for friends who visit, but only because that is the brand I can find easily in the supermarkets and which one doesn't matter much to me.

Still making a few brekkies for "friends" Psyb, you old devil you

I'm old-fashioned and expect any such "friends" to make the breakfast for me, and serve me my first morning cup of tea while I'm still in bed.
Then they are free to do the dishes while I have my shower...

But I am considerate and keep easy options like crumpets and Vegemite on hand, and don't demand Eggs Benedict or anything else more complex for breakfast.

Marmite is awful.

Never heard of Mighty Might. Maybe its the Dick Smith version..or on 2nd thoughts I think thats Aussie-Mite or something similar.

I dont eat a lot of Vegemite, but was always very nice on crumpets.

Slightly different, but I've just had a memory of a gherkin spread that my mum occasionally put on my sandwiches, in Primary School. I think it was called "gherkoff spread" or something like that

My other memory from primary school was having vegemite on Weetbix packed as my lunch on occasion
