Would be easy to stay at home and watch the box.

Just like it was easy for 6 clubs to vote yes.

F*ck that - I'm going to Elizabeth to get my arse counted as it shoves through their turnstiles. Thankyou Central.

Read in the paper yesterday Centrals are imploring people to come out and support them for this game & their Finals campaign.

It said average crowds at Elizabeth Oval have almost halved since 2002, from 4330 then to 2200 this year.

Yep they have definatly dropped,

Whats changed since then?

The price of entry has gone up how much????

What facilities inside the ground have improved for spectators?.......oh wait we have a new toilet block and the hotdog makers are in a nice shed now.

Maybe the club should stop blaming everyone else and take a look at what they have done since 2002.

The whinging and blame game that has been coming out the club the last couple of years is really giving me the shits.

ps..... they did try having a big screen tv at a live telecast game...............................yay that will really get people coming to the game, they can have the priveledge of of paying $14 to watch it on tv instead of watching it on tv at home for free.

By any chance are attendances down across the SANFL this year? I reckon whufc is right on the money (in both senses).

But also, I go every week and this year I've been rained on more than any season I can remember - I'd say about 8-10 rainy Saturdays this year, 3 of them raining all day and from early in the day when you are making up your mind whether to go. I reckon most years I get rained on once.

Anyway, things may not be as dire as they look. Someone has cherry-picked our peak attendances, as far ago as 2002 for the purpose of this comparison. That doesn't mean we are on some sort of irreversible slide.

Yep and Elizabeth Oval is one of if not the worse ground for finding any kind of shelter.

But hey at least if i buy a hotdog i wont get wet.

The casual piss head fans who use to make the northern end hill 'the place to be' no longer need to stand in the rain and watch football, not when games are broadcast live, not when they can get score updates on instant on their phone or internet, not when they can watch 3-4 other games as well on their foxtel, not when they can spend a quarter of the price on alcohol from a bottle o and drink cheaper at the pub.

The big game Saturday is the 'support' comp game at 11.15
