old fullback, I reckon if you get allocated a final you GET that final. So it doesn't rain all week and Mypo's ground dries out "a bit" and you play on what you get. Creeks seem to be the leagues buddies but. Another 3rd, another 11-12 points for 2014.

Yes footy is a winter sport and you should play to the conditions. No-one is advantaged.

As for how it's a the Creek - there is a roster with a reserve list and that's how they got it.

Didn't know there was a roster, thanks for that champ. ;)

That gives Pongy a chance to get it right and gives Creeks a chance to cater if they get the last minute call.

Absolutely agree - we would of asked for it to be moved if it wasn't up to standard. I can tell you that the club even voted on moving the game Saturday vs Willunga. If it wasn't for the lost revenue & that the netball would still be at pongy it probably would of got up.

Lets not fib you never would've elected to move the venue at your own decision. If the league didn't step in it would've remained there. not the mud but just the water on top of the oval will take until mid October to dry up unfortunately. Willungas facilities will ensure a far greater experience for all concerned sorry to say

Of course the league stepped in - that's their job. But even if we moved it the final was not guaranteed. If Willunga oval is in such good condition, why didn't you train on it last Tuesday?

What are the tips for the medals tomorrow night? Myponga/sellicks have Tom Carroll and Scott Hunt invited for A's and Robbie Wheaton and Ben Hutchy invited for B's

For me it's Benny Cousins from Davis Neale in A's and not sure who's invited but from what the compass lads were saying last week Bryce Garrad had a big few games early on for the B's

Thats for us dees to know and the rest of the league to find out in due course my friend ;)
Ill speak generally and say we may/may not have been resting the bodies at the willunga high school gym coming into finals after highly aerobically intense training sessions from rounds 13 onwards in preparation for what many are tipping as the most competitive finals series in our great association to date. As for the benefits of the extra endurance training... well, all of you secret fans will have to wait and see

As for mail medal tip. Just found out from the man himself that B.Haskett has failed to receive an invite for the count night. Im appalled at the lack of foresight the league has shown on the matter, and appalled at the umpiring for obviously not rating him high enough for votes enough to win the medallion. Im extremely disappointed by this as once again the league has been favouring some players and ignoring others.
Regardless of this I believe a willunga player will take it out (however I wouldnt be surprised if no demon won as there are too many good players taking votes from one another). So in this light I believe one Mitchell Joshua Portlock will take home our leagues ultimate individual prize for what is probably the third time

Are you saying the league influences the umpires votes?

I wouldn't be reading too much into what fifty has to say in regards to WFC... he is about as much in the know at WFC as Tony Abbott is about his budget savings... sweet FA!!!

Nice try but it had nothing to do with resting the legs. Continue your man crush on Haskett

Ok enough talk about Myponga losing the chance to host a final, no big deal I'm sure they will get one next year to cover for the loss. If you can remember in 2010 the gf got moved from the creek to goolwa in a weeks notice everything ran smoothly at goolwa & creek hosted the gf the next year common sense.
Mail medal tips:
Winner: Ian perrie
Runner up: Ben cousins has been in straths best 6 in 16 games will go close.
3rd: Mitch portlock always around the top vote getters another consistent year.
4th: Tyson Davis neale

Reserves winner any ideas? Mclarens Scott McCade?

Sam Dunlevy from willunga is my choice for the B's now I know that he's been invited...

For the mudlarks In the A's Scotty Hunt got in the best players 18 times from 18 games and Tom Carroll came home strong with 5 bests and 2 second bests in the last seven games and winning a few of those games.

Nah they only invite the top two from each side, but he will still poll 10-15 judging by his year

Yeah they all had good years, Wendles and gaz were consistent through the guts and Chris was solid all year at full back, would've been good to see them in a few more dry games because they opened up teams more than what the muddies have in the last few years when it was better weather.
