I have no idea what AFL club to pick up after divorcing the Crows.

Fitzroy now in Div3 VAFA, Esssendon no way.

... maybe the Eagles (AFL version)

Or you can not support anyone in the AFL.

Can't buy alcohol until after the game in the VAFA, give that one away. + it's almost School 1st 18's type game.

Here's a novel idea for you Phil, and for the several other posters jumping off the Crows:

How about supporting NO AFL team?

here we go.

From the SANFL tonight.

The SANFL League Directors are considering a proposal which would enable the Port Adelaide Magpies to exist in the SANFL league competition as a support team for the Port Adelaide Football Club’s AFL team.

The proposal would ensure that both the Adelaide and Port Adelaide football clubs would have support teams in the SANFL from the beginning of the 2014 football season.

“Once the League Directors agreed on a model to admit a team from the Adelaide Football Club, the same invitation was extended to Port Adelaide,” said John Olsen, SA Football Commission Chairman.

“The Commission then listened to feedback from the club’s executive and we have now arrived at a model which is being considered by the League Directors.”

The SANFL League Directors will meet later this week to discuss the matter further ahead of a resolution.

Unless Port and Crows play each other 4 times and we spread their games as curtain raisers to real SANFL club games.
Year A - Port v Crows at Sturt, Norwood, South, Centrals
Year B - Port v Crows at West, North, Glenelg, Eagles

No Byes !!!!! and these clubs get curtain raiser status - The home club has a double header for catering

Essentially six less matches all up, when you consider the 'integrity' is maintained by having teams play each other only twice for the 18 in total.

Port must be very confident of being accepted as KT has already addressed Magpie players and promised assistance in helping them find new SANFL Clubs apart from a few that will be retained as top up players.

My prediction is, upon the realisation that their accepted model was rapidly turning into a typically, ill-conceived, steaming pot of excrement, ie. standard practice from the $ANFL, they have become open to exploring a well thought out, community-minded offering from an organisation with a soul.

I'm starting to feel I've had enough of the sanfl. Maybe centrals could join a1, I still want to support my club and players, but the sanfl has a stench about it.
I still want to follow "real" football and take my son to games - but not the way our league is heading. Corruption is not appealing.

Comedy gold.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
