Their cheer squad would be just that. A squad of people holding up signs saying "cheer now" so people know when to cheer or go "A-del-aide-clap-clap-clap". The only thing they won't need to be told to do is boo, they do that every 30 seconds anyway

I'm not saying you can't do anything.
I'm watching for possible trends. Supporters that give up their previous SANFL side in favour of the Ravens was one of "our" fears. (I'll speak collectively for the "against" group.) Out of interest, how old are you? Just asking because it's reckoned younger supporters would choose Adelaide reserves over their previous SANFL side.
Not sure the relevance of other supporter's actions, choosing not to attend Ravens' games. In the cold reality of Adelaide's entry to our league I'm resolved to seeing how it all pans out. I love the Blues too much to just walk away without first understanding how the comp will be effected. I dread the horror stories from the VFL of attendances around 50 patrons. I also dread newspaper reports which downplay results in favour of "important things" like which replacement ruckman played well. I also dread the Ravens not taking it seriously. But I'll wait and see...

You will almost certainly get those articles. When the VFA was closed down and replaced by the VFL, we got stories about the injured third-string AFL ruckman returning after 12 months off with a dud knee and getting six touches (neglecting the fact he had a crap game and was a hindrance to his team's performance), ignoring the bloke who kicked 11 goals and was the key reason for his side's win. Then you get a picture of said ruckman (a 'never-will-be') in jumper number 74 looking very unconvincing with the ball.

The Addy will probably think that all of a sudden, people only care about the Reserves sides and you will get 45% Crows, 45% Port and 10% for the other matches in the round, hopefully they don't. The West Australian has been reasonable enough to realise that isn't the case with WAFL supporters and there is a reasonable mix between AFL listed players and non-listed players. With East Perth and Peel being full-blown Reserves sides for AFL clubs, I sense there may be a skew towards the wrong focus a la VFL.
