This batting is confusing
Are they going to declare ? [surely not]
Or are they having brain fades ?
Or are they getting in batting mode for the one day series ?

3/65 [14.3]

Yep this is bullshit.
We should of gone out there aiming not to lose a wicket and keep the pricks out there until its called off
Wouldnt of cared if we were 0/20 off 40 overs at end of day

Totally disagree, put em under the pump and have a crack, its the Aussie way, we don't play boring English cricket. At least we have entertained the crowds this series and do our bit to keep Test cricket alive. England are trying their hardest to turn people off.
There batting in this test has been a disgrace and i reckon on that wicket it would have been harder to score at 2 an over like they did than to score at 3.5 an over

How must Rogers feel when they put a rabbitt like Harris above him.
Rogers has shown he can score runs quickly and atleast bat sensible

3/166, only 60 behind.

Pietersen going at more than a run a ball.

If we lose we might as well forfeit the return series now

Bad light stops play
Match drawn
Aussies get out of jail, Poms needed 21 off 24 with 5 wickets in hand
Pathetic, all well and good to show bravado but instead of us claiming a morale boost we came within inches of a humiliating 4-0 drubbing

Disagree, rather see us go out and take the game on looking for the win and to lose than to play to avoid losing.

Series was lost already, 3-0 or 4-0 means f*ck all difference to me, but to claim that win away boosts morale and belief and 3-1 looks much better

Clarke showed Cook and the England team how cricket should be played.

Great declaration and great cricket from Clarke and Boof.

I'm still trying to grasp what happened
The Clarke declaration was suicidal , Aussies had almost ZERO hope of winning this game
Really 10 wickets in less than 50 overs , what was he thinking ?
Only one team could win the game, and that would have meant a 0-4 arse wipe

I could completely understand if the series was locked away at 2-2 , and the Ashes for the taking
I could very slightly accept at 1-2 Clarke would want to square the series
But to be 0-3 down , whats the point ?
The only result would have been the ignominy of being wiped out 0-4 for the first time in Ashes history

Bad light saved the Aussies of one of their most embarrassing losses with 4 overs to be bowled [phewwwwww]
The bad light was also another reason why this declaration was iffy , that Australia really only had about 40 odd overs available

But what a brilliant entertaining finish it was
At least prob most of the crowd and most of the TV viewers and myself were entertained

Agree Mal, whilst it was entertaining to watch only 1 side ever had a chance to win it.
The Poms are now claiming a moral victory and most of the media over there is running with the story that bad light saved us from a 4-0 drubbing

However if Rhino Harris rips through the top order cheaply and the Aussies record a famous victory everyone would be singing the praises of the aussies aggression and endevour to win

You know what really grinded my gears last night - Swann hit Siddle for a four from a pull shot, one bounce over the fence.. then the stupid pommy bloke in the crowd stood there holding the ball out in his hand while the aussie fielder asked for it back then proceeded to just drop it on the other side of the fence and walk away.. WHAT A PIECE OF SH!T!!!!

You gotta have a crack. See my post earlier. You don't forge eras on defensive tactics. Our turn will come. Just need an opener and another decent midlde order bat. I'm a bit surprised Voges hasn't been given a go but waiting for some one to come on and tell me he averaged 30 last summer.

regards,
