Hyper extension of elbow according to a North official I spoke to after the game.

I feel for Greg, he is a top bloke and plays hard footy. Does not deserve his horrible injury run which has been going on for 3 years.

Thanks Maxy. Real shame for him. Captaincy is proving to be a poisoned challis

Well I walk away from this game incredibly surprised and happy.

At Quarter time I was just hoping we would get somebody near Matty Wright who had 10 possies and 5 clearances whilst Max Thring had shut down Jarryd Lyons. But then in the second quarter, we just opened up, put plenty of frontal pressure on North and marked every ball that went into Norths 50.

It looks like North are mentally shot. The Bays had to play at their best to win today and they did, whilst North played very poorly.

Yay team.

Oh, and JTC got a mention on radio as well, only criticism of the radio call today was in the first quarter they called Max Proud for about 15 touches when Lyons and Underwood actually had some possies, but not always easy to spot the players and maybe just their "9's" we're showing on the jumper - but Max did play well.

I have always hated North - and still do - but I have made some great friendships with North people through footy. Go figure. Anyway, sucked in. :)

The warning signs were definately there.
I said last week I was impressed by the Bays. They gave us a real decent test last week and put up as good of a fight as we have faced in the last 2 months. I did say if they could replicate the effort this week they could trouble North.
Very real chance to avoid the spoon, the final round match against Port at the Bay promises to be a ripper

Have a laught at the Roost, Why? We have been shit for 4 weeks and happy to say so but that is irony coming from a club in your position??? But if you get any comfort  reading the Roost after a deserved win with all the issues at Glenelg then good luck Mick? Please keep us informed about the stability at the GFC because quite clearly we need your input!

The Norwood supporters who were at the Bay last week would not be shocked by this result .... surprised though.

After what we served up today and last week I couldn't give a shit about who we play next year. Today has made me question why do I bother and why would I bother from 2014 onwards!

She did really well. Don't reckon she made any real howlers, and once or twice she overruled bad decisions made by the other umps. Has quite a voice on her too, can hear her calls from way back in the crowd when the play is right in front.

Reckon North copped the arse end of the stick today, with a handful of bad calls costing them goals - but none of them came from Elly.

All sides get bad umpring but that had absolutely no outcome on the result! The only really shite decision was the push paid against Gordon after he marked the ball which resulted in 2 25's!

The grandstand was so quiet today even I could hear her.

The female umpire was really good. Same can't be said about the other two muppets but no bearing on the result. North were worse today than any umpires have ever been.

Have North recently started a heavy training load or something in prep for finals?

Wouldn't have thought so and if they have, their Reserves seemed to have adapted to it a lot better than the League side.

North Reserves were very good today, in saying that, the Bays only had 17 on the field from halfway through the third quarter.

And before anybody asks, from the same North Official, the Ressies are doing the same work as the League at training.

Fair point Maxy, I probably should have switched the grey matter on .. Just stunned by their decline (no disrespect to your mob or their other opponents of recent weeks)

A bye to refresh. A hit out against the benchmark last game. Fine weather (hopefully) and good quality ground at Footy Park. Johnston back to spearhead attack with Stewart. Still plenty of time for North to turn their form around. Finals a different game.

Eagles beat North by close to 100 points towards the end of last season and they lost to South 2nd to last round. Then were the form team in finals.

Unfortunately for North it looks like they've blown what appeared to be a certain double chance so have to do it the hard way again. Would not be counting them out yet.
